Hi there!
Just want to talk about my past life when I was just in my elementary years. When I was a grade schooler, I often prefer to stay at home rather than go to school. I don't know what was happening to me that time but I just really feel to stay at home. There was once when I was forced to go to school but I crazily refused that I even cry out disturbing the neighborhood. The feeling was just sudden and I don't know why such had happened to me. It even returned when I was in my last year in elementary. I fear that it would come back to me this time that I'll be going to college. Is this some sort of a mental illness?

I think you dont like your school...or you are afrid of some thing or some one in school...that makes you to refuse to go there...so dont be afrid or shy to do any thing...!

It is not a mental illness. Mental illness means you will be afraid of every thing. Here it is only on a specific thing. Either you are not interested in education or you may be thinking that some thing like ragging may happen to you. Just turn back and see. With the same fear you have come close to completing your elementary. What happened? nothing. It will be same even if you enter college also.
You are absolutely all right. Don't unnecessarily get confused.

I suffer from schizoid affective disorder which is similar in nature to schizophrenia but, also includes a mood disorder. This doesn't sound like a mental illness what you are experiencing, but it could get worse and sounds like agrophobia. If this got worse you would need help as it would be classed as an anxiety and stress disorder and also a phobia.

There are four criteria of defining abnormality: distress, impairment, risks to self or others, socially and culturally unacceptable behavior. When you were young, it could have just been school phobia...it may just be temporary, and you really need to talk this out with a specialist so that whatever unresolved issues in the past may be addressed...such unresolved issue may be the cause for your anxiety over attending school. Evidently, yours is not yet really mental illness but you should seek professional help this early to avert any mental problems in the future. Good for you since you are very much aware of the problem, I'm sure you are most willing to take steps to prevent it from becoming a real problem later on...Get also support from your family and close friends...it helps. Prayers can also do wonders...

If it was in your elementary years, it was not in a past life. Now you can begin the healing proccess.

I don't think it's a mental illness. A lot of kids hate going to school. I used to be like that back in 3rd grade. I cried all day because I didn't want to go to school anymore. I think I found it boring and not worth the hardships.
Don't blame yourself for it. Maybe the school activities are boring. Maybe the demands of school work make it too stressful. Maybe you don't like your classmates or teachers.
If you come to think of it, te entire educational system is like that -- boring and not worth the hardships because you don't really learn the stuff that will make you successful in life. It teaches us that making mistakes are bad when the truth is, making mistakes is part of learning. We learn best when we make mistakes. Making mistakes is not something to be ashamed of. It is something to learn from. We should not be afraid to take risks.

It sounds to me like it could be a mild intermittent chemical imbalance that screws with your emotions a little from time to time. It also sounds like it's been years between occurrences so I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you wake up one day and can't bear the thought of going to class, don't go. You'll wake up feeling more yourself the next day, I would imagine. If, however, it becomes a more regular thing, at THAT point I would see a doctor.

It's not a mental illness. It's just that it happens really naturally. :)

Hi, i think this is because you feel shy and little afraid of society. I suggest to just have fun and enjoy being in a group. First look for the people around you who openly talk and not backtalk against you that you have to judge.
As life has to be taken as fun and every one should enjoy it. don't wait, start enjoying
