Hi all you bloggers. There's a blogging contest going on at http://www.blogforayear.com . This will definitely help you to make a living with your blog. The winner will be chosen to blog for a year on any subject and receive $160,000. Your part, besides entering your blog, is to find people that will vote for you. Start now, it ends in January of 2008. I don't think your blog needs a high PR or anything. Hello gtargirl,
Just voted for you. Sure didn't realize you were that involved in your writings.
I assumed that many writing on myLot were practicing their writing skills, so to speak, looking for other opportunities as well as making friends. I would have an interest in blogging but, my confidence is not where it should be just yet. Don't believe I have all the skills to jump into something that's over my head. I have written a few small articles on hubpages.com. Really wanted to see if anything I wrote was accepted. Some money involved but not enough to make a living.

looks good but are you sure it's actually going ahead? The site hasn't been updated since 2006 and the news/updates blog is down. It'll be a shame if people pay their donations towards the fund to get promoted on the site and nothing comes out of it.

Hi Jend. Yep, I have thought about that. But then again that doesn't stop me from blogging. I was blogging before this contest even started. However, it would definitely be a shame if it wasn't actually "going ahead." I guess we must always be careful with these things. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi Ruwank, thanks for the info. I already blog for PayPerPost. I make about $300 a month with them. If I actually posted for them everyday I figure I could make twice as much or more. Thanks again and keep spreading the word.
