Having been a fan for so many years, watching even after the shows rap up, i've always wondered what life would be like had they continued.
Do you think WB/CW would have been able to successfully syndicate a show after "The Charmed Ones"? Wyatt & Chris and phoebe & paige's kids growing up (teen years). Seeing the little ones learn the ropes, of course with the veterans as we know them being there for support and wisdom? I think depending on what role they had Piper, Paige and Phoebe playing (the occasional demon vanquishing and but kicking) they might have been able to pull it off.
What do you think? - Lets face it, we were all hooked, so having them come back in a more parental capacity and still doing the occasional hunting we would have gotten used to the little ones and loved the show.

Ok, I've been in and out of the show... but I need to know what ever happened to Prue (shannon daugherty's character)? And how did phoebe come into the picture? I remember watching it, then i missed some episodes, then shannon was gone and allysa was there. I dont get it. Somebody fill me in.

Alyssa Milano was always there; she was one of the original cast. Pru left after season 3 - she was killed, as was her policeman boyfriend, Andy or whatever.
Paige was the one who replaced her, not Phoebe.

My daughter has bought all the seasons of charmed on dvd, I continuously watch charmed reruns every day. I agree with you that it was possible to continue the show, I was dissapointed with the last episode when i realized it was the last episode. They were always going into the future so I don't know why they couldn't have continued on! I wish it come back with the children older.

When I get enough money, and when the DVD's go down in price, I'm gonna buy one season at a time. That way I can watch the show anytime that I want to! I plan on doing that with all my favorite shows because they are always being taken off the air.

I think a spin off based around the children would have been awesome. It would have been nice to see Wyatt grow into these huge powers and see exactly how powerful the next generation was. Plus it would have been a funny twist to see Piper, Phoebe, and Paige have to deal with their children as teenagers. I'm sure there would have been some groundings for using powers for personal gain. :-P

I'm a really big charmed fan and I was really upset when the show ended and very emotional too. But now that I looked back I realized that it was time. The show was usually based around and obsessed with the fact that the girls wanted to lead normal lives, and it seems like they are able to do that now with the great threat gone. The climax of the show has come and passed and although I would like to see more of Chris I don't think that they could have come up with any good ideas to keep our attention. It would have just been more sentimental and not as hardcore as before.

I think that they could've continued with the series. Although, I am not sure how many more seasons we could've endured with just the "girls". I do believe that their kids would've made an interesting twist to an already popular show. I mean, let's face it, the tweens/teens are really what is popular today!

Maybe they will start again in a few years where the kids are the main characters but then where would the power of three fit in with the children because piper had 2 - wyatt and chris, we saw at the end of the series that pheobe has a girl. Did paige actully get to have any children but then she is half whitelighter so her children wouldnt actually be apart of the power of three, they could concentrate on whitelighting?
I love how they were able to come up with so many demons and the way they looked they sure scared me. I wouldnt like to meet them in a dark alley!!
Piper (Holly Marie Coombs) and Pheobe (Alyssa Milano) are actually producers in Charmed, would be good find out what they are upto now?!?

I totally think they could have pulled it off. I was so disappointed when they ended the show. They could have even started showing the kids doing a little more. The crew just worked together so well.

It ran for 7 seasons, which is impressive for any show, much less one on the WB! Still, while I agree that a spin-off focusing on the kids and some of the supporting cast would have been cool, Charmed had definitely run its course.
The last few seasons were grasping at straws. I mean, whatever was popular or whatever big movie was the flavor of the week, they copied for at least 1-2 seasons! Remember how they did the pirate thing, then the Mr. & Mrs. Smith thing with Billie's parents, not to mention the entire "magic school" plotline - so on and so forth?
The last season or two is the way show should have been done from jumpstreet: they already had this great history and unique backdrop and they focused on that instead of these stupid movie rip-offs and stuff.

I'm sad that it ended. I really think it could have been more successful if they had indeed been able to keep it going. It's sad that their budget was cut a lot in the last season which meant they really didn't have much to work with. However, I understand that tv shows cannot last forever, but I really wish this one could have. I wouldn't be too interested in the charmed kids though. I'd want the original to keep going.

i have been a fan of charmed since the beginning of the show. I was amazed on the effects as well. It was sad when they decided to wrap up the series. I think that they should make a spin off and have the show focus on Wyeth and Chris and their cousins. It's the 3rd generation who will help save the world from the demons and the like. it would definitely be a cool show. And it would be great to see the charmed ones help their sons/daughters in fighting the demons.
