manodogs Earl is completely dead... TBS tried to save it at the last minute, but could not afford to do so. They said the only budget they could afford would have negatively affected the quality of the show and they did not want to do that.

manodogs ABC is far worse, but I also thought Earl was doing well - I know it was at one point. It even went into syndication; some cable channel was showing it during the day at one point. I also heard it might be moving to another network, but nothing else...

manodogs It really does. I move entire sentences and paragraphs and so forth around in editing. For the most part, it results in a stronger work, but like I said in the question, it sometimes weakens it.
