Well dad arrived home Sunday afternoon about 2 p.m. after a 2 month "vacation" for me. HAHAHA! Granted, the relief of not having to care for him those 2 months was a relief it's great to have him home once again. As soon as he settled down in his chair Buster of course had to visit him. Jumping onto his lap it starttled dad but they both loved it. Then the first words from dads lips, "You got any coffee?" HAHAHA! They didn't give him a lot of coffee at the home. Well he has been walking a bit on his own withoput being asked or assistance other than me being behind him. So things are looking great for dad and I. Thanks all for your prayers and thoughts in the past couple of months. That's meant so much to me in helping reduce stress etc.

getting home yesterday. Tee hee hee. He loves being back
and I am a bit glad as well. HAHAHA! Thanks again for
everything friend.

I'm very glad that your dad's finally home! I could imagine how it must have been like, to have him away from you for a while and to worry once in a while as to how he's doing. Now, you can keep a closer eye on him. I pray that he'll recover fast and I'm sure being in your presence will help a lot. You are a great son to your father and deserve a big pat on the back!

Thanks. I really hate having to be the one to keep an eye on him for his safety. Something every very serious happened and I take the blame. But life goes on. We're all very happy to have him home. I've another discussion about the relief in the form of visitors coming to help take care of him. He's recovered but just needs to get more self sufficient and mobile now. Thanks also.

Thank you very much. We did not expect him home till after the first of the year. But his return this early is mainly due to the fact he refused to participate in his therapy and recovery while in the nursing home. Now he knows if he doesn't particiapte this time in the home he will not have insurance paying for it. And then he will have to pay out of his pocket because I WILL make sure he gets the physical and occupational therapy wether he pays or his insurance pays. Thanks.

Well things are REAL great. HAHAHA! He expects to eat like he did a year ago. But I refused to buy the sodium filled pickles and lunch meat he so dearly missed. Oh well pops. Have a healthy lunch. It'll be good for him and Buster as well. HAHAHA! It is great dads home. Thanks.

Hi Grandpa Bob,
I'm glad things are going so well for you, with your dad home. I can understand how happy he is too, as there's no place like home, and family (in most cases, anyway). Pets are great, when it comes to these sorts of things. I'm sure Buster wondered where he was too. You're welcome. It's great to see how you care for your dad, as many 'grown children' have no interest in doing this. Take Care.

Yup that's why. Since dad has been gone for two months Buster
got thinned down and a lot more active. Now soon he will be
back to the fat slow running Buster of old. HAHAHA!! Well I'm
a great son what can I say. HAHAHA!!

Oh when I went to pick him up yeasterday he had a HUGE smile and said, "Let's get outta here." He was bummed out as I told him there's paperwork etc to be done before you leave. HAHAHA!! It was almost an hour after I got there that he finally set foot in the car again. Buster has been hanging around him since he got home. That's Busters meal ticket as the wife and I don't feed him a lot of table scraps. HAHA! Thanks also. We are all happy he's home. Yippy!

Thank you very much. I feel I am just doing what I would want my own children to do for me if and when I get that bad. I'm just me not a special son or anything like that. Thanks for the continued prayers as they are still needed mainly for me with the stress etc. He is very content. In fact he's asleep in the chair right now. Hee hee.

I figured he would be glad to be home, once he got there. Lots of times the nursing homes will decide that coffee causes people problems, but my mom swore that she basically had coffee in her veins. She drank it round the clock. It is very encouraging that he walks by himself with you behind him just in case. Enjoy every moment you have.

It was more or less like a 2 month hiatus of sorts. Not that I really want this job. It sort of fell into my lap so to speak. HAHAHAHA!
