I think that's really hard to answer because Beatles is a band while Elvis is solo. Personally, I would go for Beatles as they have been my childhood favourite band and artist in the music industry, but I would have to give credit to Elvis too since he wrote all his songs by himself and he has so many of them to his name, which is an amazing feat for an idividual artist.

The Beatles are BY FAR the more talented musicians (and I love Elvis). Elvis wrote little to none of his own music, and while in the beginning of his career he was unquestionably the "King of Rock and Roll" with such great rock songs as Jailhouse Rock and Hound Dog, in his later years he became just a sell-out idol for the aging women who loved him when he was popular in their younger years. The hot young Elvis gyrating his hips to Rock and Roll with attitude was one thing, but flabby older Elvis in white jumpsuits? Come on. How can that be even remotely considered rock and roll? The Beatles, on the other hand, not only wrote all their own music, but their lyrics were insightful and deep (I'm not talking about the radio hits, although they are amazing tunes as well). Look at the lyrics in 'Getting Better'. Listen to the music and raw emotion in 'Oh Darling'. The Beatles were such an amazing and important band, there is nothing that could ever compare to them.

The Beatles all the way. Elvis has some great music, and many Love him, but I still will always prefer the Beatles over him anyday, as I was never really a Big fan of Elvis's music. I did enjoy his movies though.

Definitely the Beatles. They had an amazing career with songs that were incredibly diverse and ground breaking...hard rocking hits to beautiful melodies to psychedelic pop.

The Beatles & Elvis were both world changers in music and in styles. I agree with one responder that said however that they were different types of entertainers. The Beatles was a band and wrote 95% of their music and lyrics and made 4 movies or maybe a couple others. Elvis made a career on making movies as well as singing. I think they are equal in greatness, however if I had to choose I would say Elvis, because to this day I always here his music on the radio or in stores, but no so much of the Beatles. NOTE: Elvis would have been a movie actor if he had been given the chance to do the kind of movies he wanted to and not the cookie cutter types that the colonel made him do.

The Beatles, who else? simply because they represent four different individuals who in their own right, solidify the true meaning of music.
