I only got one grape!

I bought this huge bag of grapes yesterday. i was looking forward to them as a snack later in the evening.
My six year old has a pet rock and he asked if it could have some grapes because it was hungry. So I said okay thinking he would eat a few of them. Well the others got to them too and by the time I finished flattening Mount Laundry there was one darn grape left for me. WAHHH!
Ever get a craving for something but go and find out that someone else ate it all up on ya?

lmao thats too funny,darn what can you do with one grape,thats not even a mouthful lol.that happens all the time in my house as well so some of the stuff i literally have to hide just for me and hubby lol.the kids are tall enough to reach the darn frige.pattie

Ahhhh yes! When you have kids and you really want something to yourself, hide it if you can! Good advice hun!

LOL Colton told me it was very hungry last night. It even polished off one large glass of grape juice too. But for some reason it was Colton, not Rocky with the green floater in the toilet. Hmmmm

lol! sorry to laugh, but that is just so funny! and so typical for my house as well! lol!
If I want to make sure there's something left over that I want, I have to push it way in the back of the frig so no one else can get it! lol!

Too bad mine have learned that trick already. I still do it but it doesn't matter they find it. I remember my mom would hide he pop in the veggie crisper and i would take it. She always wondered why it was always so low.

LOL. I hate going for a snack knowing I bought some and there not there or half ate! My kids 3 and 5 are very good at getting in the fridge and eating everything they can find! LOL. They act like I nver feed them. LOL.

Oh I know that one! I don't buy a lot of junky food so when they go somewhere and get the chance too they act like they are starving even if we ate before we got there. No not starving, just piggies. LOL

very cute story! and food in my house WOW i have two very very hungry boys and by boys i mean my son and hubby. there isn't enough food at the grocery for them. so, if there is something u want later.. it is just a luck of a draw whether it will be there or not lol lol

Yep, this has happened to me before, more than once. The only way to insure that doesn't happen to you is if you live alone! :P LOL
Here's one time that it happened to me:
I was looking forward to having some chocolate milk one day as I had bought several small cartons. I guess I waited too long (I waited until the next day), and guess what? There was none! My husband drank all of it!
Now when I by chocolate milk I drink some before hubby gets to it, even if I'm not craving it, just so I can get my share! LOL
Well, at least you got one grape. That's better than none at all, don't you think? :P LOL

No it was a tease! LOL I hear ya about eating it when you don't crave just to make sure no one else does. My daughter does it too. Well we have two boys and dad. So us girls have to find ways to get the yummy stuff or we get shafted.

wow what appetite these children have, I just hope they didnt got drunk with the grapes they ate. You can buy another for your cravings.

Hi vicki,
I am really sorry to hear that all you got was one measly grape! That really stinks. If I have something that I really really want and I know my daughter will want, but I want my fix first I hide it until she has gone to bed. That has only happened a few times though, usually I make sure I have enough to share and don't mind sharing anyhow. Grapes would be kind of hard to hide!

I know they would be. But I bought this huge bag. I wanted them to eat them but thought they could scarf down the WHOLE thing in one night. Jeepers. Oh well back to the grocery store and this time I am stopping everything so I can have some too. Thanks

Haha, i love that the pet rock was hungry yet i guess the pet didn't actually get any!
I'm not sure if you guys do it there but on of my most favourite things to do with grapes is to freeze them :) You should give it a try, grapes taste awesome when they're frozen, probably something more for summer coz they're very refreshing!
I don't usually get cravings but whenever i buy a bottle/carton of juice, i never usually get much more than a couple of mouth-fulls because everyone else seems to think their few mouth-fulls don't make a difference!

HA HA HA, my family does that to me all the time!! It drives me crazy! I have gotten them back though, now that I am pregnant, I will buy something at the store that I know they would love for myself and I leave the EMPTY container on the kitchen counter. It's a big family joke!
