Who says we can't stay fit while we sit on our various sized and shaped butts myLotting day and night? So what if we indulge in different snacks and beverages as we busily type our brilliant posts here! We already know many of us are good at multi-tasking and some of us already do some form of exercise as we post so it's not just our fingers that say fit and trim! So, welcome to the grand opening of the myLotAerobics Center! I'll get us started with some simple warm-ups; let's all make sure our posture is correct - sit up nice and straight like your mom always told you, shoulders back and chest out. Now just suck in your gut and tuck in your butt. Again, breathe deep, hold it...Don't tell me you can't read or type and do that at the same time, I KNOW you can do it! Next, place your thumbs right at the top of your hip bones with your fingers resting on your belly. Now practice moving your abdominal muscles back and forth, up and down. Feel it moving? OK, now you can put your hands back on the keyboard and keep working those abs. Now do some neck stretches; try to touch your ear to your shoulder...NO CHEATING by shrugging your shoulder up! Hold it as long as you can, now other side. It's your turn now! Who has something else to add to today's class? Remember, suck in your gut, tuck in your butt... Annie

Another one, while reading a post before you start typing a response do this :- Extend ur arms infront of you and gently flexx both wrists by turning the tops of your hands towards your body, hold for 5 seconds, relax and repeat until you finish reading. Hey go now and type a response.

You are welcome. Eyes are important parts of our bodies so we should take good care of them. They are windows to our hearts you know. Remove the blinds from the windows heheheheeeee........another one for today: cup your hands gently over closed eyes and hold for 30 seconds or longer to relax your eyes.

For today's class I want us to do aerobics for eyes. Take 10 seconds and look away from your machine on a blank/clear wall. blink very fast for 5 seconds and the other five seconds stare at the wall without blinking. This will make you eyes waterly and clear the eye strain you are feeling as you type. Go back to typing.

I think many of these may help a little. I know firming the abs is supposed to be good for back problems, or so I was told when I was in physical therapy. Annie

I have something to add. Thank you all for joining us in this once in a life time experiment. Although, it work quite well, we will never be doing it again. Type, type, type, away all my mylot friends, LOL. No just kidding, that felt really good. I will have to make that a habit. Now if I could only learn to type with my head side ways, it will be smooth sailing from here on out. Great topic, thanks for the tips.

Here's another one... slowly raise on leg so it's at a 90 degree angle with your body, hold it for as long as you can, lower it, raise the other leg and do the same thing. Then do it with both legs. You could also do the scissors raising one while the other is going down and visa versa, either slowly for strength or fast for burning calories!

This one is for those of you in swivel chairs...put both feet flat on the floor in front of you and then swivel your body as far right as you can, hold while you type one word then swivel to the left again holding for a one word count. Repeat frequently. This will tighten up those love handles.
