I often think today the World has changed a lot and many a things together with time , have chjanged ! There are so many new things around and if we don't get ourselves adopted or adujusted with them then we will be termed as obscelete and we will be off streamed! To keep up with the pace we need to learn the bbasics of these new things! Thus todayu Doctor needs to know basics ofComputers, Car, Camera, HandyCam for that matter about the Gas Stove too! If we think that like in olden days if are sticking to one profession and other things will taken care by hired persons then things may not work longer any more! So with the change of times I have become almost Jack of all inspite of being Master of my Profession! How about you? Your response will be highly appreciated!

i think its good to be a master of one for now while a Jack of all other trades then as necessity dictates, become a master of another trade :-)

I think today I would rather be a jack of all trades rather than a master of one. Considering I am a mother and need to be a doctor, chef, taxi driver, teacher, nanny, maid, plumber, electrician, etc... I need to know a little about a lot to function in my date to date life.

Jack of some and master of one would be the best *possible* achievement. Jack of *all* is practically impossible, since the world is too big to know all of it within our lifespan. Master of all, needless to say, is impossible. Master of some is not impossible, but it takes a Michael Angelo to do it, very hard but possible.
Unfortunately, I have not yet mastered anything, other than the common, mechanical, subconscious day-to-day habits like buttoning my shirts without looking at them, operating the remote control without seeing it, etc.
But I'm Jack of some aspects.
so, I must say I'm Jack of some and master of none, at the moment.

Hi,Well, depending on your life-style & requirements, one has to be a JACK so that he / she is self independent; and based upon the interest & talent one has,he/she can become a master in that particular field. To survive in today's world, one has to know atleast something of practically everything that may pop up suddenly from somewhere in this unpredictable life.
Wishing you ALL THE BEST!
GOD BLESS!!
