How often do you go to the Hairdresser's?

I am very lazy, so I try to go as less as i can lol. But anyway, I end up going once every month and a half or two months. I do need to take care of my hair because I just cannot let it go wild because i work.
Anyway, sometimes I let my hair grow a little bit more than usual and gets a big long.
Do you go to the hairdresser's often? how often? do you like going there or is it a torture for you?

Once every month and a half to two months is okay. Some people only go once a year. I go about every 6 weeks, just like you. I only get a trim most of the time. I keep my hair long and only get it trimmed so it stays healthy. My sister owns her own hairdressing shop and so it doesn't cost me anything.

Well once a year has to be terrible for the hair, because the ends of the hair open themselves and they're not healthy looking anymore. thank you for replying.

The last time I went to the hairdressers was about 3 months ago. The time before thatit was about 18 months!! I do look after my hair to make sure that it doesnt get damaged but I hate going to the hairdressers. Every time I go they never cut it the way I want it look. So every time I do go, I go to a different one in hope that they listen to what I want. :-)

Same here, my friend.
Normally I try to go once a month or 2.
But I have been so lazy and in fact it is quite long for me long.
Make no mistake though - I still keep myself well-groomed. But long hair is long hair... :P

I love long hair, but not everyone can have it. Some people get bald, others can't because of work, and others simply can't because it doesn't fit them.

I used to love to go to the hairdressers every 2 to 3 months and get the works - it was total stress relief and so much fun! I haven't been for a year now cos of my back but I wish I could - I would go like a shot - I actually know my real hair colour for the first time in years! xxxx

mummyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! nice to see you back. Hadn't read you in ages. I think once every two months is the average when you are not one of those with short short hair who cut it really often. Thank you for replying!.

Hi LightninStrike! I am worser than you. I may visit the hairdresser 4 times in a year or so. My hair does not grow fast so i does not matter much.I mostly go there when I think i need a changed look or an ego boost.

i don't liek to go to the hairdresser, because they never do what i want to from them. Like all the time I tell them to cut my hair only like centimiter or so and I look at the floor and see how much she is actually taking off, but then it is too late. I was at hairdress for about half year, because I want to have my hair long. I had a friend n Germany who was hairdressed and I always ask her if I need to cut them or they are healthy and go only if she said I need it. But last time she said I had very healthy hair and if I will keep good care fo them, I don't need cut so bad.

I am lucky in that I found a hairdresser who would visit me at home. She visits about every six weeks and she puts the colour onto my hair after she has cut it, but I remove the colour myself and this keeps the cost down.
Over the years we have become friends and sometimes she has lunch with me too and me have a really nice chat.
If you are clever with beauty tips and know lots of ways to wear your hair up you can get away with hair that is not in tip top condition for a short while, but a cut every so often is the best way to keep it in good condition. I only use heat to dry my hair about three times a year, when I use a hair dryer and diffuser because I have a special occasion to attend. However, the down side is I get cold water trickling down my back for about half an hour after the stuff has been washed!
By the way I don't think you are lazy, you are busy and you can think of better things to do than sit and have your hair done, yes?

It would be incredible to get a hairdresser to come home! I am lazy, so i would love it hehe. Unfortunately I don't see it happening anytime soon.

going to a hairdresser is expensive here in sweden. so, i am glad that i have a healthy straight hair. i don't need to go to the hairdresser to make it prettier. and i am even luckier to have a friend who learned how to cut hair back when she lived in China. so, whenever i needed my hair to be trimmed a little, i just go for her for free.

thank you for replying anne!! Here in Spain it depends on where you go. Some places are not expensive, and others really are. The place i go to is not cheap, but I prefer to pay a bit more to get a better cut. I am a man, so it's way cheaper for me than those women who dye hair etc, who pay really big amounts of money. That's why i can afford going to a better place.

Hmm for me, I just let my hair grow 'till it touches the ground LOL. Seriously, I don't often go to the hairdresser but I guess as I could still remember I've only done my hair at least 3 times within this year.

Well I used to go about 3 or 4 times a year from teenage until about 2 years ago. But now work doesn't let me be so lazy, besides, even though i don't like short hair for myself, i don't like it really long on myself anymore...I just keep it in a middle term, not short not long.

Once in two months - this is a fair period of timewhen my hair grows off so that I can't see anything and have to waive it off my eyes all the time :) I have a bit altered my hair and it does not look exactly as in the picture, but still I always wait two months before going to the hairdresser's. But when I have my hair cut, I prefer it really short.

Hi,there! Well,I don't often go to the hairdresser's. Sometimes I go there two months once or half a year. But recently I go there somehow more often.I went there two weeks ago and I'll go there this weekend. When I think it's necessary to change my hair style, then I go there and try to make a change. Or when my hair is long and I don't like it that way too much,I go to the barber's to have it cut. It's not torture for me but I'm not a hairdresser fan:) Thanks for raising the discussion!

As for me, i go to my hairdresser every two weeks. Because i don't want my hair looks sprouty when it's already out of shape. So i have to see my hairdresser at once. Thanks

I don't go nearly enough! but I do keep my hair neat, it is long and my natural colour so it is quite easy to maintain. I don't need to go in to colour it or to get regular cuts to keep it short but it makes it special when I actually do go!

I try and go at least every 6 weeks. It can be bothersome going but I do like my hair to look neat. My son who is 2 1/2 has had 3 hair cuts since March which is funny as until then he hairly had any hair and now it grows so fast. My Mum has to get her hair cut every 3 weeks or so and thinned as it grows so fast and thick.
