have you ever wonder how life would be if the internet would disappear one day. what if some crazy guy just made a program or a virus that took out the whole network. Imagine home works done in searching books the old ways. Without the internet the libraries and book company would be back in business again. imagine those angry investors who just invested millions of dollars for nothing. imagine no more online games?? imagine all those computer cafe going out of business. imagine going back one generation back. without the interenet. imagine life without internet??

Bad times, bad times. There are a number of resources online that I practically depend on; not sure what I'd do if they up and disappeared. Fortunately, the Internet is pretty well put together, and a lot of work goes into keeping it running. There are 13 top-level DNS servers on the planet, each of them responsible for maintaining a different top-level URL extension. Anycast distributes the responsibilities of these servers, helping to mitigate DDoS attacks and keep data available if one goes down. Back in February, six of these servers were attacked. Four of them stood up to the attack; the other two were compromised almost immediately, and the next week saw a number of home users having to reset their connections. As it were, those two servers were the only ones on which Anycast had yet to be implemented. :)

i guess life will be more relaxed and healthy as we would go around to let things happen.like go to bank to pay bills, visit friends to say hai, post letters,as an individual things will run but in a slower and halthier pace.yeah but the virtual economy will be dumped.but see life still exisited 40 years back when there was no internet.

Maybe we will be healthier without the internet but it offers a lot! I remember googling a workout site so I guess It's up to us if we want to be healthy.

You guys, be sure to remember to keep information you have on your computer backed up, in case the system or your computer goes out, you will have all your information with you to start on another computer! I myself have a lot of information on my computer that I need, and I finally learned to keep it backed up in storage or in files!

i can still imagine life without internet.. i mean it would just be going one or two generation back... i don't think people then would know the difference . But with the kind of work now which has been dependent with internet, it would really be totally difficult. there would be some information blackout or something.... it's like breathing without air :-)

Living without a computer would be hard because we depend a lot on it. We do almost everything on it. From our home to office, we deal with the computer. We can even earn a living from it nowadays. I think there would be a big loss if that happens. Most big companies use computer for their transactions. We're going back to the old days that we use a typewriter. Damn, it's much easier to use a computer than a typewriter. The keyboard is very hard, i tried using it before and my hands get sore after typing at least five pages. YOu cannot delete a word or letter if you mistakenly type it. I hope people would not abuse the advantages of computer like the hackers and others. Let's just enjoy having this kind of technology in our life.

I think I would survive. I would just have to spend lots of money on long-distance phone calls, send a lot of snail mails, and find old-fashioned sources of income because right now most of my income is online.

Life would never stay still and we wouldn't go backwards if the internet was suddenly gone. It would only be another opportunity for somebody else to invent something similarand probably better if it can get any better. We all depend on the internet in some way so if there was some kind of crash i'm sure the appropriate authorities would do everything in their power to get it up and running again immediately. The human race only seems to move forward it would be up and running again in some form or another practically at once. In 30 years time the internet will probably be old anyway and we will have some other bigger faster way to communicate. Maybe somebody is working on it as we speak? It would be good to see what the next 30 yeares holds :)

Life without internet is like life of a caveman. It offers a lot and is basically already a part of our lives. It allows us to communicate to our love-ones who are away from home. Research is harder when the internet is gone. Back to books and libraries that gives us only limited information. It's true that the internet has made almost everyone lazy but that's what technology is, making life easier. It is pretty addictive too. Like playing online computer games, forums, and other fun sites it offers. Even though not all sites are good, the internet is the top one source of information.

That would be interesting. The angry investors? Oh well, they could invest in something else lol. The online games? I really enjoy those, but haven't been able to play them thanks to the small amount of space on my computer. That's okay, because I still have computer games and console games. Of course there are the old fashioned board and card games that you can play while socializing in person. I've lived without the internet all my life, until about 3-4 years ago, so I'd do fine as long as my computer still worked. I love typing and creating stories.

Well, we didn't have the internet before. During my elementary and high school days, I did my homework the "old way" -- researched in the library and browsed through the encyclopedias we had at home. But now that I've experienced the internet, I can't live anymore without it. I go online almost everyday to check my e-mail and go through at least three of my favorite websites. I depend on the internet for practically all the information that I need. I can't imagine life without the internet anymore.
