How personal to you get on myLot?
I have shared a number of things from my personal life here, but there are things I just prefer not to get into.
How about you? Are there certain lines that you just won't cross when it comes to discussion your personal life here in myLot?

There are some things that I would never discuss on myLot, miamilady, because some things should remain private. I have seen discussions, however, that made me question why the person would even bring it on myLot. I agree, there is always a line that should not be crossed.

well in a way I'm more open here than real life but yes there is a line I won't cross. some things I don't tell people in real life or mylot, even to close friends. I keep to myself a lot, used to be a lot more, only now I ease up on mylot.

There are plenty of things that I won't discuss, but alot of times, it is easier to ask Mylot friends than family. There are alot of times that I get some real helpful answers.

There are very few lines I won't cross. I talk about almost everything. I don't give out my address or phone number on mylot, or that sort of thing. I don't use my real name here often, though many of my friends here know it. However... when it comes to anything else, I'll talk about it.
If you followed my posts on mylot closely enough, you'd probably know more about me than a lot of people who know me offline. I like that feeling of freedom of expression. If someone I knew offline didn't stumble on mylot, then I'd have some explaining to do, but I'm willing to take that risk.

if i find answering a certain discussion that has to reveal some of my personal life then i dont think twice. but there are topics or discussion here that i just skip because its for me its to personal already if i response on that. its a case to case basis for me.

There is very little of my personal life here, since I am not really comfortable sharing personal stuff with people I don't even know. I am very private and I keep to myself.

Not at all, I have this feeling that mylot is some kind of fmily to me and whatever personal matter I raise, i am bound to get social support rather than redicule, so Why should I think even once?

I have no problem sharing things with my personnal life because don't have any real life friend that are here. Of crosue if I would knew someone, I would think it before posting certain thing.
I'M not saying that I'M telling all my life here. But if some part can help people, I have no problem with it :)

If it is to bring a point across, I do share some personal experiences. Afterall, it is easier to convince using personal stories. At times, I found that by using personal stories, it makes me rethink for myself too. Like you, I do not share certain personal life not meant to be shared. lol.

there are general issues about my personal life that i get to share here in my lot. in some discussions, i might have shared something personal that would have happend to someone else or that is a topic of a discussion. doing this, i might have also shared something to help someone experiencing the same in their lives at the moment. but the rest, i really think about sharing them right away.

No, I don't think twice, because you and I as a person should know what you want to tell the world, and what not to tell the world. But really when it comes down to it somebody already in this world knows your personal life.

definitely. its better to leave the personal matters just for keeps but there are some personal things in life that you want to share with diff people who has diff opinions. its nice to hear other side or other comment aside from your families or friends.

My life is an open book and no used to hiding any thing most people on here dont hide what has gone on in thier lives. as what I have read alot here are getting alot off their chests that they wouldnt share with family and friends for we are all faceles to them and so they tell all.

I have talked about my personal life on myLot, but the reason is that I cannot talk about it here offline. There are some things, however, I would not go into in depth and usually say that at a certain point of my life, I was a bad girl. That can be interpreted various ways. Since I live in a large city, or a fairly large city, no one would know who I am unless they know me or some of my experiences personally. And questions of a ultra condemning nature, I avoid answering.

Yeah, I think there are limits about personal lives. I do appreciate comments and advise I have gotten about issues with my family but I try not to get into too much personal detail.

Probably, it is not advisable that you have to divulge in mylot about private or personal life. This is a public venue where all the people who are here may know all the things being disclosed as well as the mylot itself. For me, I would have to protect my private life. I could only share what is deemed to share as to the topics being discussed not my private or personal life.

I've just joined myLot and so far I'm enjoying the discussions about common interests. And yeah, I do think twice before trying to share my personal life online even if nobody knows my real identity (except for my myLot friends that know me offline). I've read some discussions already of people talking about their personal lives and I'm impressed with the advises of some that I even had to post my opinion as well.
