How's your weatherman doing?

As a pilot and resident of New England I have always been in the habit of watching the local weather forecast as well as the weather channel on a daily basis.I think it's kind of funny how local broadcasters actually try to promote their stations by claiming the better and more accurate equipment and forecasts.
Well here in Massachusetts we've been experiencing a rather chilly and windy run of weather well below normal temperatures for this time of year.
So as I watched the forecast last night the weather man predicted a warm up for today sunny and near fifty degrees.
One problem though,I guess he forgot to inform the weather gods because when I woke this morning there was two inches of snow on the ground and and the thermometer never broke thirty five all day.
So how's your Doppler radar weatherman doing?

oh, that is really hysterical. Snow? When it was supposed to be sunny and warmer? Well we were supposed to warm up too starting today..uh, yeah? Sure didn't feel like it, and also supposed to be sunny, but nah, dismal and overcast and it's been that way for a week now. You're a pilot?? What do you fly, private planes like Cessnas??

I like the weather channel more than the local news. The WC is one of my few favorite channels. In any event, the weather is a fity-fifty prospect. With all the fancy equipment, weather prediction still remains a crap-shoot for the most part. The five day forcasts are pretty much useless, because by the time the fifth day rolls around, the weather could be totally different. Anyway, not to fret, the weather is the weather and it happens as it wants to.

It's getting to the time of year that they are just about always right, but then again all I have to do is wake up and look out the window and say Yep looks like rain. lol
Now our "snow storms" and "heatwaves" if thats what you want to call them. They only get it right about half the time

Here in Houston we often laugh at our weather people. They all have different temperature forcasts. Sometimes they are within the curve. But when it comes to rain or cold bad weather it is a crap shoot. Today is supposed to be close to a record high and get lousy by the evening becoming colder. Fog has been a problem at Bush airport causing problems but at least we expected it. We are not expected to get anything more than cold and rain for the rest of the week while the panhandle and north Texas could get some snow. We shall see. Most of the time our prognosticators do a fairly good job. Of course they predict something to happen on one day and three days later it still hasn't happened.

So far, so good, with our weather men/ladies, pismeof. We did get the balmy near-seventy degree weather we were promised for today, but it is supposed to go back to normal by tomorrow night. Sometimes they really miss the mark with their forecasts. I wouldn't mind if we didn't get any significant snowfall before Christmas.
