Your ship is travelling without aim. Set a goal, be it small ones does not matter. I should do this today, I should do that tomorrow. Application of mind is very important. Unless you discipline yourself, you will not only not able to do small things, you cannot think of bigger aims and ambitions. Set goals and set target to achieve that. I am now taking an exam in mutual funds and I am holding the book, not allowing the mind to go elsewhere. Because I set myself a goal that I should pass this exam.

Take a scribbling pad and a pen. Jot down in the night before going into bed, things you want to do in order of priorities. By next evening when you are back at home, tick off the works that you have done. Let it be in the beginning all silly things which you generally do, so that the number of tick off right will be more and that gives you filip to the movement of things to do (TTD). Next time, make the list qualitative and try imporove everyday. You will never be lazy.

I know that feeling... we all hit a dry patch occasionally.
Look all over in your 'discussions' catagory... hot topics, new discussions, new users... or go to an interest and check out all the questions... there has to be something that will get you going!
I certainly don't want you to burn out... you contributions here are always interesting. You might just need a day or two off... then there will be loads of new posts! Hang in there!

der anuj, you know what i have found is that if i feel burnt out for somereason, fatigued or whatever with mylot, what always sets my passion afire again, sparks a fire within me, is when i just aimlessly let myself wander around and read posts and then i'll come across, by default some heart & gut wrenching story, and i get so caught up in my response to it...i forgot, i was even jaded, earlier in time...this has been my experience more than several times...as i think you're a creative person anuj, who just needs something that ignites your sensitivities...stanzi

IT makes me mad when there are almost the same question asked on mylot over and over again. Go to the "make money online" interest and see how many questions refer to "how can I make money online ?" or similar discussions.
Best thing is to go outside the box. go to a discussion about your favorite tv show or your favorite sport or something like that.

Hmm... looks like you are suffering from a case of Mylotter's Block!
Heh heh... you are not alone anuj291. It happens to me some times. What I usually do is to stop coming to mylot for a while. Erm... about 2-3 days, max a week before I start looking at the topics here again.
This will allow me to have a fresh look the topics posted here. And at the same time, gives me a chance during my break to think of new stuff to write about. Though I don't actively sit and think about it, I do take a break from mylot once in a while.
Try it. It does help.

Alot of posts I find is something I don't have an answer to. More people should just come up with a simple question as oppose to giving their life story or a made up story. Just ask simple questions like "What is the funniest thing you saw today?"

First of all it is natural to have off days..believe me its happened to me quite a few times, but you should persevere.. if you dont have any post you want to reply to ..post your own discussion, maybe you should expand your list of interests..that helped me..include all the tv shows, movies, you like, books you have read , things you want to do or have done with your life..immediately you will have sooo many more interesting discussions. ..and most of all relax try to enjoy the experience and the rest will come naturally. When you are on the phone with a friend..you jump from topic to topic..something current something old...just like that post discussion on whatever your mind..(obviously wiht in MyLot guidelines) and before you know it you 'll be on a roll...
Happy Mylotting!
