To all my fellow Mylotians, I have come to the conclusion that I am a nut. I participated in Black Friday, something I normally don't do. Wow I got some bargains, I shopped till I dropped. I am almost done shopping and I have a big list of people to buy for. My daughter in law and 2 yr. old grandson went too. He came in my room early this morning, I was still sleeping. He tapped my arm, I opened my eyes. He said gramma I'm ready to go. Who else went shopping today? Did you get some good bargains? Share some of them here. I got some Kodak 2GB memory cards for Kodak cameras for $12.88. I was able to get all the kids and grandkids jammies for Christmas. I got the boys a set that came with a robe, slippers and a pair of pj's for $14. I spent $300 at good ole Walmarts, I got some great bargains. Happy shopping to all.

Well polly, i do not usually go shopping either but today I did...I also found some great bargins.We have a store here called BigLots and i hit that store..I found my 15 year old granddaughter a beautiful sterling silver cross necklace, and a real cute bag, that she can take with her overnight,and inside the bag had a nice fluffy throw, and i found her some cute makeup bags...these are the things she likes.I also found some fisher price nice toys for tots, for 3:00 each for the smaller babies...I shopped for hours there..Then we have a giant mart, thats where i bought some beautiful wrapping paper , tinsel to trim the packages, and some really pretty bows..I also was able to find a lot of books for the moms to read to the smaller ones,like goldie locks, little red riding hood, they had all the classics..I shopped until i was give out.i came home to hubby and the dog, and popped some corndogs in the oven,which my hubby loves and have just sit back and relaxed and thought of all the things i bought today. If im not sore tommorro i will hit good ole Walmart..heehee

I went to Big Lots too, you can always find some good bargains there. My son and daughter in law went to Big Lots this morning, they are expecting another baby. They got a good bargain. Its a video baby moniter system for $40. It has the camera/microphone, the moniter and then another thing you carry with you. That will be great for when the baby comes, we all live in a 2 story house. Tomorrow I am going to JCPenneys and Target with my mom. I only have a few more little things to get and then I am done. If I had lots of money, the grandkids would have made out like bandits, but you have to draw the line somewhere.

No, Vicky you are not a nut you are a smart Cookie, I wish I would of had some money I would of been shopping too, for black friday, you can really get some good bargains, and you did get some good bargains, so how could you say you are a nut?

Marcie, your a girl after my own heart, your such a sweety. My son gave me some money for shopping, he then asked if that was enough. I will take as much as someone wants to give me. Walmart had some great sales going on. Tomorrow my mom wants to go by JCPenny, I will go with her. I won't be buying anything there. I am a Walmart and BigLot kind of girl, hehe.

We thought about going shopping today but quickly put that thought aside. We have to put $570 into my car tomorrow and that pretty much leaves the piggy bank a bit empty for a couple of weeks.
Glad to hear that you didn't have a bad shopping day. I have read posts where people were knocked down, rudely spoken to by clerks, and they were left in a frenzy from the entire ordeal.
I would rather wait until a couple of weeks before Christmas to go shopping. I can't wait to go!

Oh wow, you got some great deals! I decided to skip the shopping today. It just isn't worth the big hassle! I hate traffic and crowded stores so my husband and I spent the day looking at new travel trailers. I think we found a nice one and waiting until Monday to see how our notes will work with a trade in!

I am not a morning person and don't like how packed the stores are on Black Friday. I am going Christmas shopping on Sunday with my mom. I know there will still be really good sales on there always is.

I purchased most of my gifts online this year. I saved gas and time. They were even shipped to my home for free. Cant beat that. I love shopping online.

I like shopping online too, I did get some of it done online. I also did some over the summer at the flea markets. I did real good at the Walmart after Thanksgiving sale. I am all done with it, now when I go to stores I have to hold back because I see all kinds of stuff my grandkids would love, but you have to draw the line. I do my best to keep all the grandkids even with their gifts. If I buy anything more for 1, I have to buy for all.
