Tired of people pushing other pay sites all of the time on Mylot?

There is a lot about mylot that bugs me. For the most part I don't deal with this too often because I completely disregard those discussions. At the same time, I do get private messages once in a while because like...it's annoying and I don't care about being your stupid yuwie referral. What annoys me most, on the other hand, is the people who start 20 discussions in about 10 minutes time. Obviously these are all quick and short one minute discussions and I have no desire to respond to those discussions since they put no effort in starting these discussions. People just want money and think they can use you to earn it.

I have to agree with you when it is blantly posting discussions regarding other sites. Though I do have my other information in my profile, only if the subject tends to be geared that way do I even refer someone to look at it. I don't post referral links in the discussions like so many people do, though I think a lot of these discussions tend to get deleted more often than not now. And yes, I delete these type of discussion starters, especially if it is only a two liner discussion.

Personally I just ignore them and I really haven't gotten alot of them. Just a couple so it really doesn't bother me if I get a few.

It can be troubling to continue seeing these discussions, but I would never have found a couple that I really like if these people didn't post them. As far as mylots rules, I am guessing it is, though when I read it in the guidelines, I see nothing about talking about another site, why else would there be a money making interest? I am sure other than, what do you do for a living, what else would you discuss in this interest? I did one time and I guess it got deleted, I did nothing but ask if anyone knew about this site because it was very new and went to comment on it again when I realized it was gone.

Well sometimes its annoying! but sometimes also can help if you are really looking a site that u can make money.Like in my profile I put there weres a good site that make me money that I join.I totally agree with you that people keep pushing some site so they can get a refferals.

I am probably guilty of this crime. I do not put referral links as that is against the rules but as this is a place for giving advice and so many people are here to earn too, when I have one of my sites that pays me or is doing something special then I make it known to friends on here. For some of us who have been involved with these sites for a while thay can be very worthwhile and informing follow members here in the 'Make Extra Money' section of any news regarding them I feel to be quite within the rules. I'm sorry this is annoying to you but we all have our own favorite 'passion'. I personally get fed up with discussions about religion but there's a place for everyone in this world (and also here on myLot lol) so I just let it go. To each is own. You could put the notifier to 'off' for those friends on here that do mostly do those type of discussions (including me) if it helps to clear the problem. Hugs from one of your 'annoying' friends!

I just hope that admin deletes most of them, since it is really tiring and annoying to see them pop out everytime I browse on the "new discussions" section. I guess you can consider most of them as spam, because I see the same topic or the samee site being started by other members. Seems that these members do not really know what these community is all about, I'm really disappointed we don't experience much of these before.. Some of them just registered here to simply recruit mylot members to join their sites, after that they'll disappear for a moment then come back again to recruit again a number of members.

I'm afraid I'm guilty of this too now and then. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to annoy you! Since there is the interest for "Making Extra Money" I felt it was appropriate to post those kind of discussions in that interest as long as I don't include the link. I guess the solution to that would be to turn the notify to off for your friends - like me - who do that! I'm glad I'm not your only friend that does this, not glad that we annoy you but glad I'm not the only bad one...lol. Seriously, I hope you know we didn't mean to annoy or offend! Annie

I guess I have been guilty of this. I have posted in the "making money" interest some requests for help with my blog and told people to go to my blog and look at it. I never do it unless I truly need help but, I guess it does make about 3 people go to my blog.....sorry :-(

Yes, I have also the same trouble you complainted above. every day I checked my email box, found the so many email from Mylot friend and introude us to join in the pay website. I come to Mylot and just want to share some interesting points with people around the world.I don't want to get any more no useful email.

Ya I do find many of them but there are people who actually want to join such sites and i think they really find it useful.

Hehe i thing everybody noticed that but in my opinion this is normal as to make money is a very big issue these days! Is not always a bad thing as u can find some good sites if your interested in earning some extra money but because many people use this technique mylot gets stuffed by these articles. I also would like to have some referrals but i never succeeded in this thing LOL maybe it's because i am not the guy that can push others to join anything LOL!
