Did you have an epidural when you gave birth to your children? Did you do it the natural way?

I think I should be very thankful, two times gave birth, I did not really have problems and some people said it was the quickest delivery. Fifteen minutes after arrived in the hospital, the baby born.

My first child was delivered by emergency c-section. I had an epidural with my 2nd child but can't say it helped too much. And finally with my 3rd child, he was natural. It wasn't as bad as I thought either. The pain was a little more intense without an epidural but bareable.

yes i had one with both. with my first son i had one after several hours of being on pitocin. he was born an hour after getting it. with the 2nd i wanted to wait as long as possible, after 3 days of labor when they broke my water it felt like he was tearing up my insides so i asked for one, i delivered 15 min later. I went from 5cm to crowning in that time. My dr said from now on she'd give me an epi as soon as I walked in the door because I fight what my body should be doing naturally. I didn't feel all the contractions but only my belly was numb from it... I am working with a doula this time and hoping to be able to deliver without pitocin (my contractions never get strong enough) or an epi... will see how it goes.

I had my first mostly natural. I had the epidural put in a c section prep, but it fell out and i delivered him naturally. My second son was entirely natural.

I had an epidural with my first 2 kids, then with the twins, I had a spinal block before my c-section.

No, I requested a C Section and I was knocked out by the anthesiologist? When I woke up, my twins were in the downstairs NICU. I hate pain and even to have had a second of birth pains made me sick; even though Twin "A" was in the birth canal, head ready to come out. I would not have it...my contractions were bad enough as it was.

Well I didnt get much of a choice in the matter because both of my children were c sections. I had to have it done. It is horrible. They always tell you to bend as far over as you an because it will be less painful and easier for them to get it in. HA HA!! How in the world is a pregnant woman suppose to stretch herself over a watermelon?? LOL :)
