Someone thought La Quinta should be a drive through!!

We have a large window in the front of the lobby that is no longer there. There is just a huge hole in the wall and the pretty bushes are twisted and mangled. Someone apparently thought they could make the lobby a drive through without bothering to hire a contractor, or even WARN us!!! This happened a week or so ago. I just saw it last night. SOmeone wasn't paying attention and drove into the lobby. The desk clerk said she had just hung up the phone when she heard a loud crash. She saw glass and bushes flying all over the lobby and she dove behind the counter. Then she heard the engine roaring as the car was trying to back out, but was stuck. SHe got up and called the cops. The lady in the car wasn't drunk or anything, but said her brakes failed. The tow truck guy said the brakes were fine, but that she didn't have any insurance. Obviously the Manager isn't interested in the drive through idea because they put shreetrock panels over the hole. Interesting, huh?
