Do you use entertainment such as Movies or Cartoons for bonding moments?

I love to sit down on a cold day near the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate in hand cuddling with hubby watching a good movie. It can be a romance movie or a comedy whatever, because it is not the movie but the time we are sharing each others company. We use the movie as our bonding tool. We get to cuddle up and chat about the movie. I also watch cartoons with my daughters. When we watch cartoons together we usually get to sit real close and we talk about what is happening in the cartoon. We laugh and get scared together. We also use that to bond too. Do you use these entertainments for bonding purposes?

Well, my wife and I strengthen our bond every anniversary (oh, and plenty of times in between), we have a special movie we watch each year while cuddling, and maybe a little weeping. Our movie is 'Ghost'.

Awwwwwww, I use to love that movie. It made me cried all the time. That is an all time good movie. They should make more movies like that. Thanks for the comment.

I still remember all the cartoons we watched as a family when I was a kid. I remember sunday before the evening news (7:30 or 8) there was a long cartoon on tv and we all watched it together. I do that with my son watch it together and talk about it. Me and my husband dont often have the same taste in movies but when we both like one we sit together and talk and watch it.

Yeah, I find it that me and hubby would have the same taste when it comes to picking a cartoon to watch with the kids rather than a movie for me and him to watch. Thanks for the comment.

Hehe. Yeah I love going into the theater but haven't had the chance to do it. With my two kids it's hard, especially when one of them is afraid of the dark. So, it's been a while and I miss it. The experience there is different from watching it at home.

My husband and I watch the very occasional movie together but usually we watch our taped shows together. We arent the type to cuddle though...he sits in his chair and I lay on the sofa...With the kids though we have movie night and thats our family bonding time. Sadly we dont do it nearly as much as we'd like to but once in a while is better than not at all IMO....I watch LOTS of movies and cartoons etc with my kids however...Movie time for the three of us is really big..has been since they were really little actually

Aww, maybe because the kids are getting bigger. I know that when kids grow a little older they don't enjoy movie nights with the folks as much as when they were younger. Thanks for the comment.

Good point, making others happy makes you happy. Making others happy makes me happy too. Thank you for your comment.
