I have to say that I am not a child any more. But sometimes I think I am childish. Besides, I have a child and therefore I have enough reasons to buy toys:) I buy various toys for my son. And actually I personally like some of them. Lately I bought a pair of walkie talkies and it's very fun to play with it:)

Yes, but i would not call that a toy. As i am buying models that need you to put them together. I really enjoy the process of putting it together and see the final finishing model.

I'm 20 know, but I'm really attract for toys, they remember me of when I was little. Now I don't buy them, or better, I just buy something that I really like, like actions figures, for example. I love buy toys for the children in my family, even if they're really a few.

Hey yl,
I remember when I got my son his first set of walkie talkies he was about 5 years old the sales rep @ toys r us was saying "he won't be able to understand how to use these" but I bought 'em anyway & we had a blast.I still buy kids meals for myself & just hold on to the toy until I run across someone w/ a child.

Oh, yes! With a young niece and nephew, I'm rediscovering all sorts of toys that I was "too grownup for." As a matter of fact, a most amusing tournament happened at my sister's house over the holiday weekend. One of the toys (a basketball game where you need to make baskets in a certain time period) became the reason for an impromptu contest. My sister, b-i-l and I played this toy over and over and over and over. The kids actually had a blast watching us scream and dance and celebrate breaking a previous record (acting like kids ourselves, actually) and collecting the balls that flew everywhere. I also buy little fun trinkets (come on, how can you NOT love a Slinky?) for myself and friends.
You're not alone and companies know it - why else do you think you can buy an Etch-a-Sketch keychain? :)

I use my son as an excuse to buy toys a lot. We go play in the toy section and come out with one or two things. My disabled mom lives with us and she hates it when I come home with fun toys that make noise. But Marcus (my 16 month old son) and I love it! He has a lawn mower that sings. It says, "It's fun to sing and learn, especially when you mow." Makes me laugh every time!

Well, my dear friend, you have started a nice discussion and it really suits my taste. I always treat those devices like cell phone and camera, and car etc as adult’s toys that could really amuse us. I still remember one of my friends did ask me what toy I preferred years back. I then told her all the toys for adult were expensive and could hardly afford to buy any of them. I like to play with digital camera and I am so lucky that my hubby had bought this toy for me last month. Though I already have a car I still aim to get a better one as my next luxury toy. So I have to strive harder for it. Hope that it is not only day dreaming and could be materialized soon lol ...

The only toys I buy are for my son. I don't really play with toys unless he wants me to play with him too. Buying a pair of walkie talkies are a great idea:)

i have 5 children, i bought a lot of toys for my first child when she was growing up... but when i had my 3rd child - i controlled buying new ones. why... there're too many toys...
but everytime - macdonalds introduces their 'premium toys' especially the characters from the famous movies - i'd start buying again...
my husband will start nagging - but, i'd say... 'the kidz luv the toys - it's cute.." when actually, i am the one craving for the 'Shrek' + 'Puss-in-Boots' toys...

I buy toys for the kids but I also enjoy playing with them too. I see all these new toys for young children and wish that I had someone to buy it for cause it would be cool to play it or see how it worked. The one right now is the exercise bike for the tv. Too young for my kids but cool cool cool!

LoL. i fell the similar. Like when i see those nice barbie dolls, I am like oh it is a shame I don't have a kid yet, I could buy it and protect like it is for my child, but it would be for me. LOL Yeah i am childish soemtimes too, but i think each of us is a little bit. I think we just feel sometimes like we want to come back to our childhood and play again and have problem and worries.

i've always believed that there's a child in each and everyone of us. it makes us enjoy simple things and even give us wonders over things that mostly children would enjoy. ^__^
i seldom buy toys for myself anymore. but what i buy, kiddie stuff i buy, are stickers of my favorite cartoon and anime characters. ^__^;; i use them in my letters and in my scrapbooks. and then, i also buy stationaries of my favorite anime characters, ballpoint pens, and a lot of writing-related stuffs.

I remembered when I am still small, I am fond of playing toys.
Recently, I bought some toys for my cousins who are still small and he loves to play with it.
Currently, I do buy gadgets and other personal stuffs for myself.:-)
