How to distinguish your luggage in the heap?

Many luggages look almost alike so we must be very cautious when collecting our own one from the airport or from the racks of the train or bus. It will cause a lot of unnecessary troubles if we should take a wrong luggage. So whenever I go for any vacation I usually tie a big navy blue ribbon of a particular shape, each to either side of my baggage so that it could be easily identified even from a distance.
My dear friends, what do you do with your luggage so that you can collect your baggage easily when traveling? Can we share your idea? Thanks a lot.

I prefer to tie a remarkable stuffed toy above.I choose the stuffed toy myself and it is easy for me to choose my own baggage in the heap. Most of my friends use the same way.One of my friends print a shining color on the surface of his luggage bags so if he finds the shining luggage bags in the heap, they are his.

I can’t help but laugh after reading the kidding words in your comment. Hi saivenkaat I think your luggage must be a very unique one so you can recognize it without any difficulty. Hope that you don’t bring a similar one wrongly home
Happy posting and have a wonderful day.

Hello lkbooi. I have travelled in a plane for one time only. That was the winter vacation of the 2006 from January to February, in 2007. I am glad that there were no other shoulder-bags looking alike. So there was no problem for me to recognize my bags when I got off the plane. Thanks for your discussion, dear friend.

Hi jisir, I understand that there will be a tremendously big crowd rushing for the tickets during the festive season. We can book our train ticket 10 days in advance here. I earnestly hope that you will be lucky enough to get the ticket as you wish. Good luck my friend.

Hi dear jisir, I believe your shoulder-bag must be quite particular in shape or design. When we take such type of bag we won’t have to worry any mix up of them.
Your first time to travel in a plane in that winter vacation must have given you a wonderful impression.

That was really very impressive to me. I hope that I am lucky this year to get a train ticket back to my hometown this year as our winter vacation is drawing near on around 25th of January.

Finding my suitcase during my last trip was a bit easier. Unfortunately, that was because the wheels had broken off on the trip before that! Still, I put large, green tags on the handles of my suitcase and garment bag. One side of the tag had my name, address, etc. plus my initials in giant letters; the other side had a logo from one of my jobs.
One person I met online is an artist. Before one trip, she painted large pictures of two of her characters on her suitcase.

Hi jtr, I am sorry to learn that the wheel of your suitcase had broken off during the trip. I bet it would be rather inconvenient for that. Well, large and striking tags on the upper part of the suitcase and garment bag usually could attract our attention readily on them. Other than the big conspicuous ribbon I will never forget to write my name, address and contact number on the tags attached whenever I go for traveling.
Thanks for responding and have a nice day.

Hi, dear hillock, I hope today I could manage to add comment here. You know, presently I could only post here by chance :c.
Really, there are lots of unique and beautiful key chains which are so attractive. It is nice to be aware, so that people won’t take away them from your luggage.

You are most welcome, I do hope that I will be managed to post all my replies daily.
If I am not wrong, this is your third avatar. The second one was purposely for Christmas and the current one where I can see a sweetie, is for the year of 2008, right?
You better put it into a practice, to make it one of your great collections.
Happy new year too.

When I went away to Rhodes this year mum gave me a yellow strap which she used for her journey abroad, it is tied around the outside of my case and it has my surname on it! I was grateful for it and it worked a treat, no more hunting, it stood out like a sore thumb! Perfect, no wasted time and no taking home the wrong case. The strap were real cheap too, great little invention.

Hi wolfie34, your intelligent mom really has a good idea to give you such a wonderful yellow strap even with your surname on it, to make your baggage so distinguishable as to save a lot of troubles in hunting for it. This way is quite practicable as it is rather cheap as well.

Hi!
Many a time I have had this experience of trying to distinguish my baggage from someone else's.Most of the bags and suitcases are similar.I just mark it.But I do appreciate your idea.I will try it the next time I travel.Marking can get rubbed off. Thanks for that suggestion. This is an interesting discussion.

Hi bigerb, you are most welcome and thanks for your nice words. I did place a label with my name and particulars on my suitcase but it might easily get rubbed off as what you had said. The label is not as conspicuous as the colorful ribbons that I always use nowadays. Anyhow if we find a way to make our baggage distinguishable then it is considered good enough, right?

I am a lazy person and not so good in taking care of luggage. So I always pack my belongings in the last minute and thus won't be so well-prepared when boarding the plane. I just wish that I didn't miss anything out LoL. But, it's really good idea to mark a special tag on the luggage so that it could be easily distingushed from the others. I will try that out next time, because I usually I will be facing difficulty in locating my own luggage on the conveyor belt. Besides, it will also save us trouble if other people accidentally picking up our luggage due to the the similarity.

Hi dear cheongyc, a lazy person is a relaxed person. It is good not to worry about packing luggage before travelling. Just like you I prefer do my packing at the last minute but I always make sure that I don’t leave out any important items. I am used to do in this manner as I do travel quite often.
It is quite essential for us to mark our luggage with special stuff so as it could be distinguished easily.

I have always done something to my luggage to make a distinctive mark. Sometimes it is something tied to the handle or sometimes tape or writing on the bag itself.

Yeah, jillmalitz, I do notice that different people have their own ways to do with their baggage to make them distinctive so as to be detected or noticed easily without much difficulty. Same as you, I do like to tie something which is different from others so that it could be recognized easily from far.

I know, yanstill, train is the main and most convenient transport vehicle in your country. I believe you are such a careful gal and will never miss your luggage or take it wrongly. I utterly agree with you, we must never leave our bag which contains the essential items apart from us, especially as the train is congested with passengers all the time.

You are great! I wonder how your luggage really looks like. I am quite curious to know about it. I do hope to get one so I could save a lot of trouble to tie ribbons on it. Oh no! My friend, it might be mixed up with yours coincidently at the airport one day lol...
