Are you expecting snow for Christmas where you live? Do you always have snow for Christmas or is it special when you do?
When I lived in Michigan we always had lots of snow for Christmas.. much like the picture below (found on the net). When I lived in Texas for 9 years we had 1 year that it snowed and it wasn't even 2" of snow...but it did snow that year. Here in Missouri I believe we've had snow every year since '91 when I moved here. I love the snow...I'm not thrilled with the cold but they tend to come hand in hand. LOL
I'm hoping we have snow this year. My Dad, who lives in Michigan, said they have started having snow already so they will definately have it by Christmas as well.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

The snow starts here in November, which is quite late because usually it starts at the end of October to stay. The snow here gets quite thick and by January, if you have not cleared it, you cannot get out of your house and we live at the edge of the lane, and all the snow piles in front of our place. The rest of the street may be clear, but not in front of ours. Every year the city clears the snow and it seems they put it in front of our sidewalk and I have to clear off the ice and that.
A little is okay, around Christmas, but the rest of the winter, no way.

It would be nice to have some snow. It snowed in El Paso this weekend. We had a very light flurry a couple of years ago. But it never sticks here in Houston.

I live in North Carolina and we like NEVER have snow at Christmas. I'm not certain I remember us ever having snow in my entire life here, and I've always lived in this state.

We have already started to have snow here in West Virgina also. None that really laid on the groud except in skiffs. I am sure we will have snow on the ground sometime around Christmas. Our oldest daughter lives in South Carolina near the beach. Her kids never see snow unless they see it here. They are coming home for Christmas so I hope we have snow for them.

The only snow we've gotten this year has been a little covering that's gone away within an hour or so. We haven't had snow on Christmas in years even though I really would love to have some. I'd love to have snow on Christmas itself. Just some little snow falls would be great. I'd love to have more snow on my time off, than have to deal with it while I'm at school because that means I have to be out in it all the time!

I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We had sleet for Halloween and snow for Thanksgiving. I'm pretty sure it'll be snowing again long before Christmas, and by then there will be plenty of snow on the ground. We get lake effect from Lake Superior, which I am very close to. :P
I just wish it would snow less of the year here. I'll never forget the year I got married... we had talked about having our wedding outside, in May... but there was still a bit of snow then, so we wound up having it inside. :P

Yup, the UP is always worse. It's pretty crazy living up here, but it's also a beautiful place. :)
It is so very pretty when the snow first falls. I was so happy the first day it snowed this year, a few weeks ago. I was working, and I decided to walk home from work in the snow, and even called a friend just to describe it to her. Those fat lazy flakes that fall so slow and gently, and then rest upon the ground almost as if they were floating above it. So beautiful.

hello! i was born and grew up in the philippines and winter does not exist there.
i moved here in sweden last day of june to be with my boyfriend. i admit, i am so excited to experience winter since i only see snow on telly or in films or in pictures. so, i wanna experience it myself, too.
it started snowing here last week and i was so happy... like jumping up with joy! my body had a hard time coping up with the change of weather since i came from a tropical country. it's really so cold. but i don't mind them. i am now experiencing snow and i have my boyfriend, too. so much good deal for me!

LOL - I'm in Michigan and we got a beautiful snow yesterday. Will we have it for Christmas - it's Michigan, you never know we could have a couple feet of it or the guys could be out golfing in their tee shirts Christmas day (they did that one year). I do love having snow for Christmas but only when it's fresh and clean and the roads aren't too bad so we can get to my parents house.

Last year we had a green Christmas.I think it's the first time that it was green. We had few sprinkles of snow for the first time this past Saturday. I don't know what to expect in the line of weather..Christmas is so far away and I am not really a good weatherman.

Nopers, no snow here. We got enough of that stuff when we lived near Chicago. I don't miss the fuzzy white stuff even a little bit, especially not in the driveway, where the snowplows used to deposit it after plowing the street. Not fun.

I must say that this is a little funny to me. We come from Michigan. Lived there all our lives (where it snowed almost all the time come winter). This past summer we moved to....TEXAS! Sadly I must admit that we got five inches of snow this past weekend. Everyone was rather surprised, but it snowed all day Thursday (Thanksgiving) and then again on Sunday, for a whopping total of five inches.
At this time we have no plans to move to Missouri.

I used to like snow very much. when i was very young, then there would be much snow during our winter in my hometown. i made the snowman with it, playing with it. But all these have passed. As we grown up, as the temperature grown up, the snow becomes less. i cann't even remember whether we had snow last christmas!
enviroment, that's what we should try our best to protect!
