Before you answer this question I want you to think about it ....What did you do before there was TV to watch? Now I know most of you will laugh at this question because TV has been in your life forever but think about it this way What would you do if there were no TV's to take up so much of your time. Would you learn to do some crafts, read more books, write a book, visit the sick, visit your friends, or grandparents? Haven't you ever noticed that the people on TV are never watching TV?
They are always doing something else. So what would you do if there were no TV to watch?

When I was younger, you couldn't keep me and my siblings in the house. Now, that I have my own children, I can't keep them in the house, especially when I want to watch television. But, if there were no reality shows or soaps, I'd probably spend much more time writing. I read everyday as it is, so I'd probably have to go to the library more often.

Well, seeing as tv doesn't take up most of my time..lol. I reckon I'd be doing what I normally do without a tv. Clean, clean, clean...read, write, read somemore. Work.
If the internet exists, that, lol.
Keep up on the news, learn stuff, etc.
There's an entire world of stuff to do, the tv really ain't that important especially seeing as we can just rent or buy tv seasons now..and see those things that way.

Would I still have internet? lol. Well, I would love to find more time for reading and putting together puzzles. I think if tv didn't exist i would spend more time playing with my kids.

Oh goodness! lol I have a TV thats hardly on until my hubby comes home and even then we sit and talk with it off for awhile.
Im pretty sure I would spend more time on the PC, I would take more trips to the library for something to read too. I dont live far so I know I would walk, I normally do and getting out is something I need to do more off. Ive gotten so comfortable with being at home. I hardly go anywhere unless I have too. But its cold and that plays a lot into it, I hate the cold weather!

When I was growing up, we didn't have cable, so I hardly ever watched TV. Now, I often turn off the TV to play outside with my son, turn on music and dance, clean house, read, crochet, paint, you name it. I know people who would be lost without TV. They would probably sit around and talk about TV shows, or try to come up with ways to watch TV, like go to someone's house or something. It's really sad that people are that dependent on TV. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it, but it is not the Only thing I enjoy.

i am not a tv lover. out tv is just put on when my boyfriend is here. i watch some shows with him. but most of the time, i do something else.
i worked in a place before wherein i needed to rent my own room. the salary isn't that much so, i decided not to buy a tv of my own. i don't like going to another friend just to watch tv, too. i find it a waste of time. so, what i did were i read books (and i learned a lot), i finished almost 5 crosstitch pieces, i gave myself enough hours to sleep and i spent some nice time with the people who is important around me.
i am not saying that tv is not important. it is. it's just that i am not hooked up with it so much. if i have a tv set, it's good but if i don't have, i can live without it, too.

I greww up with out tv till IWas about 15 then we got one but the kids in the neighbor hood would get out and play football and baseball and at night hide and seek and kick the can
Seems like we were always outside doing something. Now I would read more altho when I have a book I read and watch tv specially if cartoons are on for grand daughter. but that dont last untill it warms up outside and we go outside .
SOme times I think that kids dont need all these gadgets thats outside the house

Honestly speaking, I'm one of the few who can survive without television. I enjoy reading, writing, sketching, listening to music, doing graphic design stuff in the computer, shopping, etc. There are lots of things I'd rather do than to sit in front of the boob tube. I have my fits once in a while when I'm in the mood for a video marathon. I watch DVD movies nonstop sometimes, when I get into one of those fits. But watching TV regularly? It's really not my thing. I also think that watching TV takes up a lot of time from most of us nowadays because people tend to spend more time watching than doing other worthwhile activities.

Well when there's no TV I usually read books if not play boardgames with my cousins. And in times where theres no electricty... At night we usually stay outside watching the sky... or we play under the moonlight. But i'm not ap erson who usually spend much time in tv. I'm usually off in my room reading.

I actually spent several years without television and that was before internet. LOL I did read a lot more and did more crafts. But to be honest I still don't watch television very often. It is mainly for the kids and when they leave I will likely get rid of it. But if I lost the internet now I would miss it alot.

I usually sit in front of the TV at least a couple of hours every evening watching my favorite shows, but I know I manage good without a TV too as I spend a lot of time in summers at our summer cottage where we have no electricity meaning no TV and I get on just fine. I usually do a lot of fishing, walking the dog, reading books, doing Temari balls, swimming or just messing about in the garden and time flies by so fast that there's just no time to miss the TV. So it's really no big deal to me if I have a TV or not. If it's there I like to watch but if it's not, well there are always other things to do that are just as relaxing.

This question is very interesting! in fact everyday i spend more than 5 hours on the TV and computer. sometimes i also think about what would they do in the old times. I think people invented a lot things but some of them are no useful even harmful for us. if there is no TV, i can call some friends go out for a walk after supper time, i can talk with my parents about the family members..but we can't go back, even it seems so beautiful in my sight.
