I remember having my photo taken with santa when I was a kid, I remember being afraid so I let my brother sit on his lap while I stood next to him. My brother wasn't afraid. Then when my son was a little boy, I took him to have his photo taken, he was a little scared, so my hubby had to get in the photo with my son. Have you ever taken your children to have their photo taken with santa? Do they like it? Do you remember going yourself?

I get one picture with Santa taken when I was about 5 years old.
I was in Petco few days ago. I couldn't believe that you can have picture taken with Santa for your pets.
I think this is crazy, my dogs wouldn't understand who is Santa and on top of this, I don't teach them to be friends with everyone.
My cat doesn't like other people and can screem for help. Oh, little of the topic, but I wanted to add my reflections.

I heard on the radio that at the Pet Store here in town is having a pet photo with santa day December 14th! The proceeds go to the SPCA here so I might try and get Katie to behave because it's for a good cause. If not then maybe I can get my daughter to sit on his lap while holding Katie. That might work.

Hi OURDEW,
I can only remember one visit to Santa, when I was a child. I was very shy back then, so didn't enjoy it, to say the least. I don't think I had my photo taken though. When my (now teenage) daughter was little, she didn't like to sit on Santa's lap, as she was afraid of him, but she did eventually warm up to the idea, and was fine.

I remember going to see santa every year. I also had young siblings so I would go in the picture with santa every year with then till I left home. I also went in with my young children if they were scared of him. We try to make it every year if we can. Only my youngest still believes but we all keep the spirit of Santa special for him.

My youngest is 6 years old which is such a wonderful age!
My other son is 8. He found out last year which I didn't want to but he figured it out. My daughter now 12 found out when she was 10. I hope to get a few more years of colton believing. I love that magical feeling.
I look at it this way
I believed in Santa
I stopped believing in Santa
Then I became Santa
AWESOME!

I don`t remember going myself , but I remember my daughter was scared and so was my son ...
I think it has alot to do with the beard and the colour red , oh how they cried even the candy cane didn`t help ...
Their dad was a SOB and wouldn`t do anything for or with them so I just had to take them alone and hope for the best ...

I guess I liked Santa when I was little. I do have a few pics of me on his lap. My brother thought didnt want anything to do with him.
We tried for the first time last year with our boys. My 3 year old had this look like no way in Hell im sitting on that mans lap!! LOL. My 5 year old was a little timid he wouldnt sit on santas lap so I had to sit next to santa with my son on my lap. He says he wants to sit on santas lap this year. I think he will but doubt the younger one will.

When I was a kid I never really had my picture taken with Santa all that much. My daughter was only 6 months last Christmas so we didn't take her but she will be 1 1/2 this Christmas so we might take her this year. I think that next Christmas will be "The Christmas" you know the one where kids start to believe in Santa and start to figure out everything about Christmas. I can't wait!

Thanks for the compliment on my new avatar! I think it's cute and it's as Christmassy as I could find. I am really psyched about next year as she will be more into Christmas, but we'll still probably take her to get her photo taken with Santa!

I never really have this oportunity since we don't have a Santa in my coutry,. But on six december we have a St. Nickolaus and we put the shoes to the window and we will get soem candies. Also there is some party for kids and you have to say some poetry or sing soem song to get a candies from St. Nicoulas. i remeber I was always scared to go there and was so shy. i have this picture somewhere at my mom's house probably. i don't have a kids yet, so cannot say about them.

We were at the mall today and they wouldn't let us take our own pic of santa - we had to buy their overpriced ones. What a bummer.
