Being in my 50s, I usually listen to music in my younger years. It is mellow, ballad and feeling nostalgic. However, my kids and my nieces doesn't like it. There are really songs I like so much, like "It takes to long" by Eydie Gorme. And Love Story by Andy Williams, it reminds me of my mother. We watch the movie together. Oh so many memories to deal on and I can't help feeling sad and lonely.

Hi batulboy, that's nice of you! There are also music now that I like. But of course the mellow one not the hard rock, that all you can hear is shouting. It isn't nice to the ears.

I know how you feel. I prefer soft rock, easy listening, jazz and the like. "Holding Back The Years" is one of my favorites along with plenty others I can't think of right now, forgive me! Don't know about 50s or 60s music though, but if its soft and easy to listen to I'd probably like it.

hello progamer, Thanks, I do like soft rock, jazz and the likes. And selected songs from the 60s. Music from the 50s and backward are favored if they are theme songs from the movies.

hi fairlady! ^__^ i can understand why your nieces and kids don't like your type of music. they were born in this modern world and their generation is a lot different from yours. ^__^ in my case, i love a variety of music and it includes old songs. some old songs that i like are frank sinatra's fly me to the moon, maureen mcgovern's can you read my mind (i know you like this too ^__^), brothers four's try to remember, and a lot of songs from the 80's like hall&oates, harem scarem, george michael, ub40, and a lot lot more. ^__^
