I have heard in the past of the problems between the Asian and Black communities in some of the inner cities of the USA, but not the Hispanic vs Black problems. There is a problem. A serious problem. Check out this article concerning Brown on Black hate crime. (MURDER!)
http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/la-oe-maddox21mar21,0,3806883.story
Yes, according to this article, Blacks are being victimized and murdered by Hispanics.
My guess is that this is more fall out from unchecked, uncontrolled, illegal immigration. Reward people for law breaking and what do you get? More and various other kinds of law breaking!
That's my opinion, what's yours?

Watch any TV show and you'll see glorification of murders.
I am not blaming TV or video games for violence. Parents are supposed to be there to teach right from wrong.
In LA, the Hispanic population has exploded in the past years due to illegal aliens taking up residence. As a result, more children are born to Hispanics and that leads to a population that is growing larger by the day. Because of this, the black population is being moved out of the way. The Mexican gangs are more violent and deadly than the black gangs. That's evident by just turning on the news.
The Hispanic gangs are trying to make a name for themselves in an area that has been traditionally owned by blacks for a long time. Now that blacks are no longer the major minority, they are being forced out of business and to those who refuse to move out of the way, they are killed.
Same thing with business owners and citizens who are in the wrong place at the wrong time.

What you say is happening makes sense and is very believable. I suspect you have apprised the situation correctly. You have also confirmed the fears of those who oppose unrestricted illegal immigration because of its undesirable consequences. Thank you for your insight.

If current trends continue, whites will no longer be the majority. Instead, Mexicans will be the majority followed by caucasions, then other races.
I passed a Mexican family in Wal-Mart a few days ago. Husband, wife and 9 children. Wife was pregnant with another one.
Birth control people! Birth control!

Turf wars are nothing new, but as to why things are escalating? Your idea is a good one and has a lot of merit. I've been reading in newspapers of crime rates going up within the mexican/american and latin/american communities. That would have to be because of the influx of illegal aliens to the pot.

Yes, when you stop to think about it, it does not seem so strange. My problem is that I now live in a remote, rural, largely unpopulated, and unexplored portion of darkess Arkansas. What few people we have are mono-racial. Race problems are something I only read about and remember from my distant past.

I'm not sure I can believe that people who are managing to live in the US illegally say to themselves, "I'm getting away with living here against the law, so I'm going to see if I can get away with murder, too!"
What I think is going on: These immigrant families from Mexico are living in the poorer areas where there are gangs, and the kids growing up there are joining gangs for "protection" like so many of the kids in the inner cities do. A turf war isn't exactly a race war.

There has always been tension between Blacks and Hispanics. Hell there's tension between the different Hispanic/Latino groups. Just as there are between light and dark skin Blacks. Racial tension doesn't stop just because its between minorites, its just not talked about as loudly. I guess they figure well they are both minority groups so what does it matter. Now if you wanna see a real fight call a Puerto Rican a Mexican, or a Cuban person Dominican. You'll liable to get killed lol.

You are jogging my memory. I do remember a Mexican hispanic a long time ago telling me of his dislike for Cubans and Puerto Ricans who he could identify by the way they spoke Spanish different than himself.
I think in order to survive in our complex society of today, I'd better just stay out here in the woods.

any volence or conflict gets exagerrated and highlighted when it involves two different classes of people particularly "race" or ethnicity. the news oftentimes miss that this kind of violence or conflict is a drop in an ocean of conflicts going on between/among same "races" and ethnicities. i must say that this kind of conflict is nowhere near to large-scale conflict between these two "races" (black and asians).

I hope you are right that the problem is not as bad as the article hints. Thanks, for your input.

I think something like this is on the rise because of gangs. Most black gang members stick with black gangs, some having muslim ties. Most Mexicans, legal and illegal would be more prone to joining a mexican gang like the Latin Kings. I could see the problem getting worse and worse and more illegal immigrants continue to reside in our inner cities where most gangs are proliferant.
I know personally of Chicago (mostly the south side) where every street is practically a different gang.

Human beings amazingly go for petty and generally immaterial differences that disrupt the sense of community feeling in this little world. I can forgive racism in the time of Charles Darwin, but for good-ness-sake, racism in the 21 centuary just makes not only unforgiveable, but it just makes me shut up my eyes and heart as I constantly wish there was another planet and super natural mechanism to pluck me and many other like minded humans who hold racism in contempt, into the solar system where we would colonize a brand new planet out there and inculcate into our children, a non racial mindset! There is nothing that takes away the glory of life here on earth than more than racism. Black, white Hispanic, Asiatic, coloured, name them, these are humans with unique attributes that should be celebrated rather than used to divide the world!

You see the thing is, most of these people learn hate towards other races from their family and their friends they go out with. Most of these people create a barrier between their own race and avoid communication with other races.
This is sad but its very true. I've being living in detroit for a few years and this has been a big issue for me personally as I had to finally choose between my friends.
I think the real criminal here is the way these people live, these people have no education and have no jobs. So it's only natural to form alliances between themselves and root against the other races who they believe is to blame.
