I have tasted and eaten Philippine mangoes, and I would say that they are top-notch. I've also eaten mangoes from quite a few other parts of the world and I particularly like the honey mangoes from Thailand. I'm not sure though if I can say that Philippine mangoes are the sweetest in the world, but I can definitely say that they are indeed sweet and about the smoothest I have ever tasted. The last time our maid returned from holiday break in Philippines, she brought back a whole box of mangoes, and we enjoyed it so very much.

Hello!
waaahhhh!! huhuhuhu! you're making me miss our very own philippine mangoes very much!
I love mangoes! love them ripe (yellow) or unripe (green)...it's my all time fave fruit in the world. For me nothing compares to Philippines mangoes. There are some few mangoes here but none are from Philippines, and I don't buy them. So everytime a friend of mine goes back to Philippines I always ask them to bring me some mangoes...wehehhe.
Take care.*smile*
ciao! c",)

I guess it's because the Philippines is a tropical country and everything you grow here turns out superb. I definitely agree with this one.

If only our government will support our farmers with their crop I assure that we will be the giant in agriculture. The world needs food and I am certain that we are the best in farming. Hawaii pulled filipinos to be their farmers and they are good farmers there.

I have my own mangoes (400 trees) and I know some basic facts about the Philippines Carabao Mangoes. However, I must correct the impression that it is the sweetest mango because I think it is not. The Philippines mango is known for its excellent eating taste and texture...thanks to its melting in the mouth characteristic. It is actually a combination of sweetness and just a little right amount of sourness.

If I am not right about its sweetness. I guess it is the most delicious of all mangoes. I wish I hit it right.

yes, I have had the mangoes of the Philippines at the beginning of the year when I was there. I was in Manila and almost every day I went to Robinson's, where I could buy all kinds of mangoes. Very nice, indeed!

I could say that there so many mangoes in Cebu. But I guess the best and most delicious of all mangoes can be found in Munoz of Luzon.

We have mangoes in summer and I am sure some of them are imported from Philippines. The mangoes in Philippines are famous, but I just don't know which are really from Philippines.

Hello MisterPlus. I have never tasted mangoes from the Philippines, but I have tasted bananas from the Philippines. I love it, so tasty, but it is too expensive if compared with bananas produced in our own country. It seems that foreign fruits have always been so expensive in my country. I hope that the price would drop a little so that more people could enjoy it. Thanks for your nice discussion.

I think the high price is all because of the taxes it had to go through. You should try our mangoes they are the best.

Our mangoes here are the champions and soon the world will know about it and I guess it can only grow here. We have to protect our mangoes for it might be stolen from us. It's one hell of a treat for your bosses there in Saudi if you give them some.

now you make me miss our mangoes there in the philippines. we have mangoes here in costa rica but i think and believe sincerely that the best mangoes in the world could be found in the philippines. they are simply the best. your discussion somehow makes me salivate for mangoes. i need to go out to pali or supermora (grocery stores here) to buy mangoes, and them i will imagine that they are mangoes from the philippines. mangoes here are not that sweet, by the way.
