How many ornaments do you put on your Christmas tree?

Most times we don't decorate a lot for Christmas. Just basic stuff. Mostly because it's just too expensive to get new things every year. But, sometimes I see all these elaborately decorated trees and get so jealous. I wonder how much money it would take to have all those fancy Christmas ornaments.
My favorite ornaments are the ones from Christopher Radko. They're gorgeous. But, so very expensive. I heard of one woman that had over 1000 Christopher Radko ornaments. And, I always wondered if she put them all on the same tree every year.
How many ornaments will you be putting on your Christmas tree? Do you think that you can ever have enough ornaments for a tree?

when i lived at home we had a huge tree and usually put quite a few ornaments on it. this year is my first with my boyfriend in our place. we've got a 6.5foot white tree. it came with clear lights on it already and then we bought 400blue lights and put them on it too. then 2strands of blue and silver beads and wrapped them around the tree. we also have some blue bulbs/balls to hang up - but we have yet to do that. i'll include a picture for anyone interested, we think it's quite gorgeous. :]

Hello dear beauty queen. I often see Christmas trees outside the Mcdonald's and KFC during the Christmas season. I have to say that I love to see those decorating ornaments on the trees, especially those beautifully-decorated colored lights, making the trees look so beautiful.

I normally don't get christmas trees, and I'm really lazy so I don't put a ton of ornaments on it when I do get one. I'd say like, just those gold balls and like a star on top.

I don't put tons of ornaments on the tree anymore. After Hurricane Katrina wrecked all of the ones I had (many that my children had made), I went minimal.
I usually choose a color theme such as red and gold or blue and silver.
I then get bows in those colors, bulbs, some ornaments and I usually use clear lights. I also have some clear icicle ornaments that I like.
The whole thing is not very expensive and looks very nice when it is all finished.
I really don't have any other Christmas decorations anymore, aside from a hanging ceramic Santa that I made in the 3rd grade. I used to have a porcelain nativity and I thought it was ruined too. But then last year I saw it, it was set up in the dining room of my ex-husband's house. Thats ok though, they can have it. :)
My mom goes crazy with Christmas decorations. The outside of her house looks like Christmas Wonderland. The kids always love it. It is very pretty. I love Christmas lights. Every year my husband takes me driving around to look at them.

I have too many ornaments and was thinking I would go through them this year. I want to find a place to donate them too that might not have much. I only want to keep the ones that mean something - if I can't remember where I got it from or who got it for me, obviously it isn't special. The last 2 years our tree fell over because it was too heavy, you would think I would have learned!

I just want a simple Christmas trimming over my Christmas tree. The different trimmings and Christmas balls have the same colors. When I was a child, I want a Christmas tree that is so colorful. BUt now, I prefer to have it with 3 color combinations only.

It depends. If we have that small christmas tree we put on only few ornaments. Of course with christmas blickering lights and with a nice star on top that will be fine. The christmas lights we have here is not that expensive, that ordinary lights will do. For this christmas we dont have that christmas tree, we just put on that native star and put on some lights and hang in front of our unit. Inside we have some christmas decors and a medium size santa claus. In our office we hust put in some decorations and lights and some other simple decorations. In our place at night time the streets are lighted and big buildings have their own design of lights and decorations. With the lights on at least we can feel that Christmas is just a few days. But for me I think and feel its Christmas everyday. Happy Holidays.

Now Queenie, this is a funny discussion. I've never counted the ornaments on the tree at all! I'd say its about 100 or so, but of course I'm not sure. Lots of colors and shapes though so it looks kind of interesting when its finished.

i don't think you can ever have enough ornaments but there is such thing as too much so. you just need to do what looks right?
we don't set up x mas trees anymore unless we set up our 3 foot one because no one ever visits our house to see our tree anyways so if no one but 2 people look at your x mas tree it is a waste of time putting it up
