Have you ever run out of pens and pencils????

i think you have run out of things to discuss!! haha... this is really a silly topic dont you think? good luck with the pens and pencils! ;)

I am always looking for a pen or pencil when I need to write something. Even if I was writing something afew minutes ago. I will still have to hunt when I need to write again. My granddaughter loves pens and pencils. If she gets her hands on it. You will not see it again. I think she hides them on us.

Oh yes many times.I use to be in a bad habit of running out of pens and pencils..My husband always told me to keep some in the glove box of the car and also in my purse...so since i have been doing that i always have a pen when i need it..When my kids were small it was very hard to find a pen,it was like finding a needle in a haystack..I have got to where i will buy them at the store, like a lot in one package and i have a pencil holder next to my phone and i try to keep it full..Pens and pencils are something that people will actually pick up without thinking and off they go.Since they are cheap i try to keep a lot on hand...

Well my pens and pencils get stolen from my cup at work. so that's how I run out there. I'm pretty weird about pens at home so I have a bajillion that I'll never run out of. Actually I hide a bunch at work because of the fact that they always seem to disappear. People just "borrow" them and never end up giving them back. So I keep a stash inside my desk so that when they're gone from my cup I can easily replenish.

I put the pencils in plastic cups on each table. The plastic cups I use are the ones that I get free from restaurants that I like. That way the cups are interesting. Pencils are really cheap compared to pens. I found that cheap pens skip and don’t work well. Expensive pens get taken home with the customers and are costly. Mechanical pencils are also expensive and usually “walk out the door”. I take the erasers off the pencils; this keeps people from altering their life totals. I go through the cups once a week and sharpen the pencils that need it.

We run out of pens and pencils all the time. I have no idea where they go. My husband brings about five to ten home a week and we still run out. It's like there is a writing utensil thief that comes in and takes them all. We should name him Albert.

No, only because I always have a lot of pencils and pens on hand.I always fear that I would run out of pens and pencils, so I have way too many.

Yes, it has happened to me, ctry,but not in a long, long time. Since I don't like to run out I usually buy them in bulk. When I see my supply getting low, I just restock them. I have not been doing nearly as much writing lately as I would like to, but I am about to remedy that soon-I hope.

I don't run out of them. I forget where they are, or I don't put them in strategic areas. Othertimes I have it on me, but seconds later forget where I put it.

This happen to me all the times. i could have hundreds of pen in my house, btu when I need one there will be none. Or when I am on the phone and need to write something down, in just that moment I could look through all apartman and find no pen. It is sometimes like on purpose. I believe I have to buy some cup or something for my pen where they will be all together and I will have no more problem to find one.

Hi Ctry, I have never ran out of a pen or pencil in my house. Are ya kidding!?!? LOL I'm a pen thief!! LOL I have them everywhere, as well as notebooks and paper. I just have this crazy obsession with pens and paper. I have an old coffee mug on my desk that holds my pens and pencils. I have a drawer with notebooks and loose paper in it. I love writting and you need those two things, so I have them and plenty of them. I will however, lose the ones in my purse, and will be without there. I really hate that, only need one when you don't have one. :) Bay Lay Gray xx

All the time. I usually have to buy about 4 or 5 a week, then all the others would magically appear!!! So then I would gather all of them up and put them altogether in one place and whem I go looking for one they are all gone again. I guess I must own a share in the pen factory by now!!!! :-)

Hey there ctrymuziklvr. My name is girlgonefishing (or at least it's my pen name) and I'm a pen stealer. There, I said it! LOL I never run out of pens because every time someone hands me a pen to sign something, I forget to give it back. I hate that! I just can't stop myself. I've even warned people about it "I'm a pen stealer so don't forget to ask for your pen back".

well frankly speaking this has never happened to me ever since.normally i keep all my pens and pencils in the pen stand and along with it notebooks are there.i regularly check wether they are working or not.

I usually have a box of new ones in a drawer, but I have had times where it seemed like every old pen ran out at the same time. It's odd, because it seems so basic to have a pen, but I guess it happens.

My projects and school works depend so much on my pens and pencils. imagine every year I change a pen because the last one gets broken of my hand:D and pencils especially the soft ones always run out. My drawings and my way of drawing are powered by these pencils. So you can imagine what happens if i run out of them and my stock to be out. God that's a nightmare for me....OOOPS speaking of that i have to buy new pencils I'm already low.

I have never run out of pens....Have enough to use and they are in good working condition...I have few pens on my table and three in my bag... Never use pencils as much these days...

no....we have big bags full of pencils and pens....my mom keeps stock of almost everything :)....she is very peculiar about everything ... Regards Harry

Hi,there! Well,I used to run out of pens and pencils when I was very young.Nowadays I don't use pens and pencils that often but sometimes I still run out of pens and pencils. Last time when I needed to write down sth,I tried very hard to find some pen and pencils,but every one I found was either broken or run out of ink.I was so upset at that time and I told myself I would buy more next time when I go to the stores.So now I don't have such problems:) I always have several pens or pencils with me and they're all available.LOL! yes it happened sometimes for me also amd i use keep one more extra one with me..always...hmm these pens and pencils do magic sometimes...
