Most years our Christmas day is very quiet and serene, not a lot of noise in the house. Of course, we don't have lots of family over on that day. We live so far from everyone, that it's difficult to get everyone together on Christmas day in one place. It's pretty much just the three of us. I'm sure things will get a lot more noisy after we have more kids. For now, there's just the one, and she's very quiet.
I suppose a noisy Christmas would take a little while to get used to. But, I think it might be nice to have a house-full of guests and children and noise and all the hustle and bustle of holiday cheer. Of course, that would mean more people to feed, more squabbles to mediate and more people to clean up after.
Do you prefer a quiet Christmas or noisy one?

Well our Christmas is always noisy though. Singing, laughter, games, eating,dancing... Then relatives will come too and we usually to it till 5am.We stay awake on the Dec.24 night..when clock strikes 12 midnight the party starts. But I want to experience a serene Christmas. One spent with someone I loved. Something serene but sweet and I'm looking forward to it.

I've had my share of both and have to say I'm looking forward to a noisy Christmas day this year after having spent the last 7 or 8 of them all by myself.

Hello beauty queen. I think that I am flexible one as to a noisy or serene calm festival as Christmas is not our traditional festival, but the Spring Festival instead.
Like you said, there is much to do when we have so many people together for a festival feast. It is really a very busy and tiring day, yet still a pleasant day when we see all of our family members and relatives at the big dinner thought there is too much preparation to do before and after the big dinner.
My wife and my son and I help together to do the rest of the job when our guests are gone and I think that it is a great job done after this big dinner, which is also a mission as we go to visit our relatives from family to family during the Spring Festival.
Thanks for your discussion, my dear beauty queen. Have a good time.

Christmas Eve night is the night when lots of the family gathers at my grandparent's house. There are usually 40+ people every year. We (my household) used to go to my aunt's house every year for Christmas day, but we stopped doing that a few years ago for some reason. Since my other grandparents moved here from PA last year, we will be going over there from now on I assume. It was my household, my grandparents and my uncle and his family last year. Not sure what to expect this year lol.

I prefer loud and messy and fun and cute, little kids laughing food cooking, dad telling farfetched stories to his grand children and this year his great grand children, and kids with bikes and loud drumsets and my mom trying to make everyone fat, oh and santa dropping by for the little kids. And the sermon, and the singing, yep that is it for me.

i would prefer to have it the way you want it as long as your house is not a big mess afterward unless it is not your house you are celebrating it at then it doesnt matter to me

Quiet, I'm not a fan of noise.
We've a big family, but we all tend to only visit who we're closest to. My dad's side can be rather noisy, but we spend more time at my Mother's...who're a quieter, less crazy bunch lol.
We don't always get to visit though, so usually we have quiet christmases either way.

I used to spend my Christmas in Ontario where we were sometimes subjected to snow storms and very cold weather. But lately I've been spending the winters in South Texas. Christmas here is much more civilised. My preference for Christmas day is an outside Temperature of approximately 85* F. I like lots of sunshine so I Can go swimming and lay out in the sun by the pool. I usually get my wish too. I picked bananas off my banana tree this morning and hung them in he Garage to ripen. I also have Grapefruit trees behind the house.

I very much prefer a quiet Christmas. But it really depends on my mood. I am feeling moody now thus my answer is a quiet Christmas. If I am in a party mood now, I might say noisy Christmas. LOL
I like to spend my Christmas in the church with my church friends. I also enjoy spending it with my family and good friends. Usually we will have gathering and parties during the Christmas period. =D

We mostly have calm Christmas. We gather 10-15 people at a house, we exchange gifts and have drinks, sweets and finally dinner. We stay for about 5-6hours then each goes back at his/her home.I have never had noisy Christmas. But i still miss the really calm Christmas, i could have with someone i love, only two people.

I prefer a quiet Christmas. My husband comes from a large familly (9) brothers and sisters, but I am from a family of four people, with older parents, so I am used to a quiet one. We have been married 15 years and have three children so there is some noise, but overall, we tend to lean toward a quiet and reflective Christmas, focusing on our blessings and not entertaining.
