Santa's asked to not say Ho Ho Ho!

This is ridiculus! I just read on Yahoo that over in Australia they are asking the Mall Santa's to not say Ho Ho Ho because it could be offensive to women. Instead they are asking them to say Ha Ha Ha. My first thoughts about this were "Are you kidding me?". I can't see how a Santa saying Ho Ho Ho could be offensive to women (And I'm a woman). I don't take it offensivly. Everyone knows that is what Santa says. What are your thoughts on this? Do think this is just a little to ridiculus? Share your thoughts on this.

I think this is absolutely silly! I also heard today that they're talking of making Santa skinny. They said him being fat is a bad influence on our children. Are you kidding me?! The bad influence is the parents allowing their children to eat unhealthy! Society seriously needs to get a grip. Next thing you know, we'll be outlawing Christmas all together!!!!

Yes, very true. It's sad to think that could happen. But Christmas is just not what it used to me. It's way to commericalized.

That is just ridiculous. I have never thought of "ho ho ho" as being offensive. "Ha Ha Ha" just sounds funny, if not a little creepy lol. People get offended so easily nowadays.

Ho ho ho is here to stay, it was only a minor few imbeciles to say the least..I suppose they have nothing better to do with their lives, I dont know who they think they are, but santa has said that for hundreds of years, why do they think that they can change it is beyond ??? ...Its not gonna happen ..

Hahaha. That is really stupid and a waste of time to even be discussed... (not here, but you know, by important people who decide that kind of thing.) Unless Santa directly goes up to a woman and says "ho. ho. ho." and winks at her or something, how is that offensive? Who decided that? Haha why is it so funny to me?

I think this is ridiculus! Santa is supposed to say HO HO HO not HA HA HA. I think there is a difference in spelling isn't there? And only someone of that mind frame would take offense to it. Not the little children whom it is intended to hear it!

I heard on the news today that they were claiming now that it will be friendlier to kids. It sounds like now they are trying to smooth it over, but I don't think the ho,ho,ho is what scares kids. I wish people would leave things alone. I had heard the woman claim a couple days ago and thought the new explanation was quite silly. Definitely is a coverup, I think.

I know how it could be seen as offenseive to SOME oversensitive folks out there, because "ho" is slang...but still. If it really bothers them, they can spell it "Hoh". It sounds the same way, and for Goddess' sake, the man's just laughing! It's not liking e's addressing a woman. He's just laughing. Besides, I think if people are gonna argue over the meaning...Santa pawns slang, because he's been around longer.

I think this is absolutely ridiculous! Here lately, there's people out there that are just looking for things to "whine" about! They are just trying to get noticed by speaking out stupidly!(that's one way of getting noticed,I guess) Oh I'm sure later on they are going to try to get Santa off the streets, too!

Duh? How can Ho Ho Ho be offensive to women? I don't get it, sorry to those women who are offended, LOL! But it would seem strange to hear Santa saying, HaHaHa instead of the usual.

I've read about this before and I was appalled. Why are people always trying to ruin a tradition? Santa says Ho Ho Ho and no woman I know is offended or ever has been. What in the world are people thinking? Wow!
