You can all thank my step son for this one...he brought home some movies to watch and one is a comedy. He asked if I wanted to watch it after his dad goes to work. I said sure but why after he leaves? His reply- "Because it's annoying to listen to him laugh". Now I have to admit the same thing, s/o does have a loud, AHHAHAHA HAHAHA kind of laugh...sorry that's the only way I can think to decribe it. Don't get me wrong, I love it when he's laughing since his good moods are few and far between but the sound itself is a little grating.
So how about your laugh or your partners laugh? Does someone in your house have an annoying laugh or are you the one annoying everyone else?

I have a cute lilting Tee Hee and my partner has a respectable chuckle, but my children have loud and boisterous laughs that make you smile and my one of my granddaughters laughs Ha Ha Ha she's only ten months.

I love the loud boisterous laughs from children. It's one of the best sounds in the world...ranking right up there with your baby's first cry. Baby's first laugh is really sweet too.

Oh.. really i dont like those who laugh loud..with the decibels roaring and soaring high.
And when you ask me .. i go in short bursts, and may be once or twice..
( O! how hard i feel to describe my laughing)
I had one friend, who used to laugh aloud, also he used to thump on the desk or clap his hands, once or twice...quite annoying for every one around him, but not for him.
Take care and Enjoy peace within friend:)

I have known desk thumpers and hand clappers...and now that you mention it a pastor that would alternate between both while laughing in this loud barking kind of laugh. It was super nasally too. Now THAT was annoying!

Well, I don't get a belly laugh to often, but if and when I do, I snort like a pig....LOL. It's true, and after I hear myself, I quickly quit it because it sounds ugly.

Aww you poor thing! Don't feel too bad though my son snorts too only once he hears himself it makes him laugh and snort more. The poor kid can't seem to stop once he gets going!

I think it is good to be polite about laughter, sometimes it just isn't appropriate to be boisterous.

I don't know how loud i can laugh. When i am laughing when people hear it, even if they are not aware of the reason they will laugh too, maybe because of the sound, they are being influence,LOL. I don't know if i am creating a different sounds or genra, but i laugh when i want to laugh, i can still control my laugh at the moment, and i laugh with the right timing. Even when in jokes, when someone is joking there are times that you already knows the sequence of that joke , i can still control my laugh and laugh at the end of it. Do you imagine?...

Sounds like you have a nice, normal, fun kind of laugh. That's a good way to be!

I don't usually laugh too loud. I only laugh loud when it is really funny and I am feeling ultra relaxed.
It is rare for both conditions to be met.
But yes, I would love to laugh loudly and feel happy.=)

You sound a bit like me...although my little ones bring me lots of laughs, it's just the rest of the world that doesn't!
