Several days ago, my daughter settled down in front of the computer to work on a school project. Things were going 'as well as could be expected,' when our beloved kitty 'Anna Belle' decided she just had to have some immediate attention.
This photo captures perfectly the 'smug look' on her face, as she revels in her success at effectively stopping my daughter's efforts.
Do you have a pet who just has to have your attention, and they want it 'now?'
Are you able to resist, or are they just too cute? How do they make their presence known to you?

Our cat, Morgana, does that all the time. I will be busy online and she will come and plop down right in front of me or walk back and forth in front of the monitor to see if she can block my view so I'll stop and pay attention to her. But it's ok, I can always take a break and give her some attention.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Awww.....that was soo cute!!
Cats always do such things with us.
They do really cute things to get all the attention.
One of my friends had a cat she was like the cutest one..!!
Never allowed any one to hold her.
But when we sit down on a chair giving no attention to her, she walks beside your legs touching your legs and shoes very sofly with her furry body and sometimes even biting you hanging fingers!!!
They really need attention!!

I don't have a pet that demands attention but I do have a 15 month old daughter who demands my attention regualarly throughout the day.
One thing she does all the time is she'll bring books over to me and put them in my lap. If I don't pick her up and read it to her, she'll yell until I do.

Why of course I have kitties that demand my attention and want it NOW. I could be sitting here at my computer, and my one kitty, Kissy does one of two things. She'll sit on her romp pawing at my leg (ouch) and meow at me with this pathetically sad look on her face, so of course I have to stop everything and talk to her, pet her. The other thing she does is to actually jump on my computer desk and stand the space between the monitor and keyboard staring at me as if to say, "Okay, enough of being in front of that stupid thing...pay attention to me." Pyewacket, my other kitty is demanding in another way, a jealous way. He hates it when I talk to Kissy. If I do, no matter where he is, even if he's snoozing, will come running over to me, pushes Kissy out of the way and wants me to talk to him. He also comes rushing over when I'm talking on the phone. Guess, he doesn't like me talking to anyone else but him, no?

heheh you got to admire cats. They have a singlemindedness that is just too funny at times. I don't have a cat but my mum does and usually you only see that side of her when there is spaghetti around. I don't know why my mums cat likes spaghetti but she will perch on your shoulder and look at you until you give in and give her a bit of it.
I always give in even though my mum tells me not to because that look of 'oh my god im starving please feed me' is just too cute to resist even if I know she's just had food put out for her!

I had a cat who was very similar when I was in college, as soon as I opened a book and started studying - she would lay down across the book. And meow. I have to admit, it was cute, I would have to move her to my lap and pet her a lot or she would get back up on the book

I don't have any pets.
Although I can somewhat relate to this with my son, he always likes to get who's busier and steal there attention. He likes seeing if he can get them to do things, play games or just make you look at him. the answer would be yes, I can't resisit really.
I'd have to say both really.

It certainly is a cute picture and it seems she has taken up residence on the desk...No one else is allowed...It is her territory now! LOL
Where I live, I am unable to have pets but when I was a teenager my Mom had a cat who liked to spend a lot of the day in the windowsill...He would also lick all of the cheese off of a cheesie or the salt of a chip :)
Good Luck using your computer! :)

I had to answer this one, because at first glance, Anna Belle looked a lot like the cat my family had when I was still living at home, and he had the same way of stopping me from doing crosswords, or whatever else I might be doing. His name was Lucky, but he wasn't as fluffy as your cat, and he would jump up onto the table and lay himself down on my crossword book, smile at me and lay his head down on my writing arm!
