I took a nap this afternoon and I drempt I put the stove on to cook something walked into the other room and all I could see was fire in my kitchen. I stared to run out but I had to run back in because I forgot my cats. And that was the end of the dream. I woke up immediately. Ive never ever had a dream about fires and that is my worst fear. Can you remember your scarest dream?

Hi Terry, What a scary dream that must have been. I have had them, but I don't really rememeber the details of them and the ones that I do remember, I can't really put into words. Know what I mean? Just hard to explain. Unless I think about them as soon as I wake up and nothing eles, I won't remember all things that went on. It's really vague too me. I just had De ja Vu while writting this! LOL I almost hate when that happens, it confuses me! Bay Lay Gray xx

Fires are my worst fear as well. I do remember my worst dream and I was 13 years old. It was in 1995 right after Timothy McVeigh had blown up the Murray Federal building. I was in school a couple miles a way and the whole school shook. I remember my mom telling me she was in Walmart and things just came flying off the shelves. Anyway, the day it happened all our class did was watch the news. Some of us had relatives there and no one knew if they were safe or not. Well anyway, I thought I had a good handle on it. My parents encouraged me to talk about it, I went to a Christian school so the teachers really did their best to comfort us. But one night not long after it happened I dreamed of walking into my back yard where our garage was. We didn't use it for a car, it just had garden tools, junk, ya know. So in the dream I'm walking toward it and all of a sudden it explodes. I fly backwards, and when I look beside me there are body parts right next to me. I get up and the whole place is filled with debris and parts of people. That dream had to be my scariest ever.

I never seem to remember any of my dreams, be they good or bad. I only ever seem to recall fragments of my dreams, and the only one that comes to mind was a feeling of falling. I was falling from a great height, I couldn't see the ground and I felt helpless. I remember waking up with a bump and finding myself on the floor having fallen out of bed. The wierd thing is, I hate heights.

I know you'll probably think I'm nuts, but make sure you or hubby check all your plugs and wiring in the kitchen, and make sure your stove is working properly.....I know, I know,...what a nut! I had a dream like this many years ago and it turned out to be a premonition. I was dreaming that my kitchen caught on fire. Being single at the time with my two small children, I usually slept on the couch downstairs (just being protective of them in case of burglars), while they slept upstairs. I jumped up and ran to the kitchen. My St. Bernard puppy was wiggled her way behind the stove and was just laying there chewing on the cord right by the plug. Now I don't know if there would have been a fire or not, but something made me wake up and check the kitchen. You just never know, and maybe you should do the same....what could it hurt, huh?........I don't want nothing to happen to little Terry and her family.

Fire is one of my biggest fears... that had to have been extremely scary for you! I have very vivid dreams and almost always remember them when I wake up. I don't have very many scary ones, but I always have frustrating ones... I'm thinking it's because I tend to keep things inside instead of expressing them, so it comes out as frustration during my dreams. Maybe if I learned to open up some more, I wouldn't have the dreams! I don't know...

I remember having a very scary dream a few years ago. I dreamed my mom got killed and all of us kids were right there and seen it. They same dreams mean something, about a day or so later I got upset with the pains of my job and quit. Not sure it meant anything, but I hadn't ever had a dream like that and I haven't had one since (thank goodness). Hope yours doesn't have any bad meaning.

Yikes! I was reading Kashmeresmycat's response and have to agree with her that you should get things checked out in the kitchen..hope your dream WASN'T a premonition but wouldn't hurt to be safe and have things checked out. No, I've never had scary dreams, thank God, but as far as fires. Have actually been involved with one at my apartment. Long long story, but bottom line I was home at the time and was able to put it out myself. And no, it wasn't in my kitchen but bedroom. It was July 4th about ten years ago. I had just come home..my mom was home all day/night. I went into the bathroom to change the cat pans when the light went "funny". So go out to ask my mom if the lights had gone weird out there too. Just as I was reaching her in the kitchen to ask her, the lights on the one side of the apt went out. I think oh, fuse blow. But something propelled me to go to the bedroom. Not smoking, not sparking but bonafide flames about three feet high coming from the electrical outlet--somehow a short. I ran into the kitchen got a bag of flour to snuff the flames out as I knew throwing water at an electrical outlet was a no-no. So okay, flames out, but my bed had caught fire so I yanked off the mattress, and douse out the flames with the flour too, the boxspring was on fire..yanked that off dragged it out into the living room, then ran and got pots filled with water to douse it out. Took a half hour to do. In the meantime, my mother was just standing there rooted to the spot not moving. Now you may wonder why neither of us didn't also call the firemen...wouldn't have done any good. For many years the hydrants didn't work on our block..and zooming up years later, an identical situation occurred in an apt across the street..same electrical outlet type fire. Since the hydrants weren't working, the firemen had to call in for a truck that had water in it..by the time that truck came the apt was totally engulfed in flames and destroyed. So good thing I remembered the flour trick and was able to put our fire out otherwise our apt could have been completely destroyed too. Your fear is fire..I think mine is water..the idea of drowning would freak me out!

Hello dear friend. I think that you must have been very tired that you have had such a terrible dream. For a long time, I have not had terrible dreams and I could not remember my past dreams. I usually forget my dream after I wake up. I don't know why. Unless it is some very impressive dreams, I can remember them. Thanks for your discussion and take care.

I don't want to explain the dream I had that was my worst, just because I can't bear to talk about it. But I can say it was absolutly horrible. It was so real that to this day it hasn't left me, when I think about it, like right now. At the time I had the dream, about 6 months ago, it took about a week to not think about it all day long. It was a dream about something from my past and it really did happen, and every once in awhile I dream about it. Everytime I dream about it I wake up crying with real life tears. It's not fun to remember bad dreams.

My scarest dream ever when I was 9 years old. It was so scary I even still remember that dream. I was dreaming my mom left me. I remember standing on the street and watching her. When she got in the car I remember I tried to chase her. I cried..and I cried beg her not to go, but she wasn't listening. Suddenly my mom woke me up, she heard crying during my sleep. I woke up and I hug her so tight, I was so afraid

There was a time when i used to dream the same nightmare every night. i ws at the age of 8 or approximately, and i would see a butterfly hiding behind the armchair in our living room. When i would tell my mother she would tell me, "watch out its the devil that is watching us we must get rid of him"For the age i was that was horrifying dream! Other nightmares i have include zombie hunts, but they usually arent very terrifying. Maybe i watch too much zombie movies :)
