An update on my wifes brother. The news is terrible. He has been given two weeks time left. She is flying out tomorrow (Wed) afternoon to be with him in these times. I won't be on as much due to keeping in contact with the family. Please pray that the good Lord takes him peacefully and keeps him in his arms. Thanks all. She is flyinh under medical status which means she gets a cheaper fare plus there is no charge for changing her flight schedule. She can return at anytime she wishes. We have no idea how long she will be gone. Once again friends and other members thanks for the prayers, support, friendship, and care & love shown throughout this medical issue. They are very much needed now.

Thank you very much. She has not seen Tom in maybe 5 years or more. So this is really rough. She also feels now like she could have saved his life but was stripped of that chance. I told her this was Gods doing and not hers nor the hospitals. She could not have done anything else different. Time waiting sure sucked this time around. Thanks again for the blessings etc. Friends are needed by me now as much as she needs the support. Thanks once more.

I'm so very sorry to hear this. What an emotional roller coaster you've been riding. I know that no words can really bring you comfort right now but just think of the exposure you've given to marrow transplants. Your story may not have come in time for your brother in law but perhaps the awareness you raised will save many more people. Your family will continue to be in my prayers through this. Hospice was wonderful during my grandmother's last few weeks. I hope your brother in law will be able to take full advantage of whatever services are available to him.

Thankfully this roller coaster has stayed on track and not derailed as of yet. My wife is going to be a basket case when and if he passes I know this. She feels quilty already for having not visited him more often in the past prior to his sickness. So with that said, she will be hard to be around with but will need my support. So I again have to remain strong and focused so I don't break. Thanks for everything as well friend. I am sure the family has hopsice there by now as well.

I haven't responded to any of your discussions regarding your wife and her brother, but I have been reading them and praying. Even in this hard time, your wife gets the chance of being with her brother one last time, even for only two weeks.
My prayers goes out to you, wife and her family during this time. Being so close to Christmas and all, that this will be the best Christmas ever for him.
I pray for a safe flight there so she can be with with her brother and family, and for a safe flight back home to you.
Here is a hug to you, your wife and family,
(((((Grandpa Bob, Grandma Bob, & Family)))))

Well thank you very much for keeping up with our situation. That's greatly appreciated from us all. It may be a lot shorter we fear. That's a new discussion to come shortly though. Thanks for the much needed prayers. This is the saddest Christmas either of us have ever experienced. And especially thanks for the hugs also.

Your welcome. Still, your wife will be able to be with her brother. I didn't get that chance with mine, but this isn't about me or my brother. This Christmas and the last isn't a joyful one for my family nor my husband's as well. I lost my aunt last year around Thanksgiving and my husband lost his uncle and grandfather just before Thanksgiving this year. Maybe they can have it early for him, so he can be around everyone and everyone can say there final goodbyes. I honestly believe they leave here to a better place. This world has become so cruel.
Again, your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so very sorry to hear this Grandpa Bob, and can totally relate, and empathize with all of you. I'm thankful that your wife can fly under medical status, as at least this is 'something.' I'll pray for a safe trip for her, and that your brother in law will go peacefully, kept in 'God's arms,' as you've requested. Hugs to you, your wife, and all family members, at this very sad time.

There is a large credit to the charge card as the flight status is a cheaper airfare. So that's a huge help. Plus she can change her flight scheduale at anytime free of charge as well. Plus I think they'll give her priority boardsing and seating as well. Thanks and it is very sad. But things happen for a reason and we shall deal with it as deems fit. Thanks again for everything.

Continued prayers going your way. Thank goodness Debbie will be able to see her brother one more time. She may surprize you and be stronger than you thought. You have a lot of people praying for all of you and I want to be counted as one of them that is for sure. We have so much fun times here on myLot but there are times when we get a bad hand dealt to us and we have to go on and make it the best we can, well I guess this is one of those times. It has been promised that the lord won't give us more than we can deal with and I just know your wife will be fine. Best regards Bob.

I hjope that she'd surprise me in that manner. But I've talkjed to her a few times at her work already and she is not holding up real well right now. But anyhow, she will make it with the suport and comfort of her family if anything happens while she is there. I've played poker many a time and the hands I have been dealt lately were losing hands. But you know what? I turned those hands into winning ones and this one will be no different. Granted it's not a good outcome expected but theres good in everything that happens to us. I'll have to wait and see what that is. Right now as someone else mentioned just bringing the word about Bone Marrow Donor has possibly made some help. Thanks as always for the prayers. This site is great and has been a great help to me this past year.

That's the hardest part to accept right now. We all had that
elated feeling of the marrow helping out then this bad news.
God does things for reasons so we shall live on and take
whatever the good Lord sends our way.

Oh my, I am so very sorry. I have been following the story about the bone marrow transplant. Is it too late for them to still do it. Is there any hope that he will recover enough to try the transplant. That is so sad. You, Debbie, her brother and the rest of the family will be in my prayers, take care.

What? This is terrible. Did I miss some news here? Did the bone marrow transfer go ahead?
I thought it was all set up for the bone marrow donation to go ahead in time?
You & your wife must be terrible stressed, as I gather this comes unexpectedly, as you all thought there was hope.
You are in my thoughts & prayers.

You'll find another discussion I started earlier today explaining basically what had happened. Well the stress level has gotten higher. I am doing lal right but I am more concerned for my wifes stress with her high blood pressure etc. I've called her many times today checking on her. Like I am her daddy or something. HAHAHA! Thanks also for the prayers.

Oh no, I am so sorry for you and your wife. This is such a terrible thing to happen before the holidays. It seems to sudden to, one day he is having a transplant and the next the cancer is back and they give him 2 weeks.
It does not seem right, we keep hearing about the statistics for curing people and then this happen. Her brother is not a statistic but a real person.
I will keep you in my thoughts this Christmas season.

I know what you mean but please, don't be sad for us. It's part of this great life we all live actually. I appreciate the prayers and the thoughts so much. They are very much needed these past few days and a few days coming as well. We are hoping he is able to "see" her and talk as well. There was a family get together last year and my wife felt bad about not going with my dad being ill and all. Now she fears this is the last she will see him and not have had the opportunity in the past 5 years or so to go visit. That's the hard part she is dealing with. The guilt of not having seen him when he was healthy. Thanks again. Also thanks for the hugs as they're needed as well. I am embracing all my friends cyber hugs tightly to my heart daily.

I'm so sorry to read this bad news, Grandpa Bob, and I'll pray for your wife and her brother at this time. I'd thought things were going well and that the transplant was scheduled soon so apparently I missed something here and I apologize. At this time the only thing I can really say is, once again you're all in my prayers and I hope Deb has a safe trip and that things go as well as they can in this sad time. Bless you all and I'm sending a cyber hug along to you and your wife.

Thanks. The worst part is we all were very elated at the prospect of Debbies Marrow transplant giving him a new lease on life then he fell deathly ill. That tore the wall of hope down so to speak. But she will be with him in his last days and that's a great thing for all. Thanks again for the continued prayers. Very much needed at this time in his life and others lives as well.
