all of us have problems. i doubt that there is anybody here who hasn't got a problem. but what are three things in life that you are thankful for despite the many problems that you face? as for me, there's my family, my work and my health. my family because they are my source of strength. i have two kids (5 yr old boy and 1 yr old girl) who i adore so much. everytime i think of the trials of life, i just look at them and i feel all the hardships are worth it. my husband is a funny guy so he eases the pain and hurt of certain situations. my work because if not for it, i won't be as fulfilled in life. because i have work, i know that my education is put to good use and earning from it helps my family. my health because i could never be able to love and work without it.

I am also not having the best time of my life right now, but I am still glad that there are things that I can be thankful for. The top three, at this very moment, would be: 1. My family. In my mid-20s, I still rely on my parents for board & lodging especially since I'm in between jobs right now. I'm the eldest but it doesn't feel that way for me as my younger brother is more responsible and his life seems to have more direction than mine. I'm thankful that my parents let me make my choices and they don't expect me to be everything they would probably want me to be. I'm thankful that I get along well with my brother and sisters and though we don't all agree all the time, it's good to have a family that's stuck together in spite of hard times. 2. My boyfriend. We are currently in a long distance relationship but thankfully, we're still going strong and I even feel closer to him now because being away from each other has allowed us to value the time we use to talk on the phone and REALLY talk. I feel so loved by him more than anyone else and I am grateful that I have found someone like him to love. 3. Like you, chari_dc, I am also thankful for my health. I'm glad I'm not really the sickly type and my family doesn't have to pay special attention to me and that I don't have to go to the hospital and get treated a lot. And having good health has allowed me to do a lot of things and I'm very grateful for that. It's just good to know that in spite of life's trials, God has given me so much to be still thankful for.

Three things in life I am extremely grateful for are: 1. Being born into the family I have. Being an Indian woman, I know very well the struggles, tribulations, biasness, oppression and violence (physical & mental) that is prevalent in Indian homes and psychology even today. Girls are still treated as second-class citizens throughout most of the Indian subcontinent and I am glad and thankful that I am born into a family, which has never looked at me as a girl, but always as their child, to be nurtured and given complete freedom and opportunities. 2. For the husband I have. He is more a friend than a husband. I could not have gone through more than 10yrs of married struggle without his shoulders as support. And it is just because of a friend like him, that I look forward to life with all its ups and downs. 3. Well, my son should find a place in this list and he is of course the light of my life.

Right now, three things that I should be thankful for are as follows; 1. I'm done with two assignments (presentation) been doing that for almost a month now. 2. I'm thankful that I have not been sick from the past weeks despite of having so much work to do. 3. I'm thankful that finally I was able to sneek in here now..and respond to friends discussion.

I am thankful for many things. First and foremost I am thankful for my family. Especially the good health and happiness of my children and husband. I am thankful that my husband and I were able to work through the problems we were having around mid-year and now we are better than ever. I am also thankful that my niece Aubrey who was born at the beginning of November (due in January) is healthy and thriving. She had a very short stay in the hospital in spite of her early birth.

The first '3 things to be thankful for' - I say it like this because, there are a lot of things I am thankful for. 1. LIFE - the LIFE that GOD gave me through my parents, and the opportunity to live and breathe right this very moment, which will be similar to your HEALTH. Knowing that the freedom and the choices I make in life is the result of where I am at and what I do, also factored by the people who helped me make the decisions that seems to be RIGHT at the moment. 2. FAMILY/FRIENDS - they also make my life worth living. They put color in my life and they also become the basis of the outcome on the direction I lead myself to. I also learn and lean on to them on how to become a better person. 3. MY MISTAKES - because I know that I am not a perfect person but I usually learn extra from my mistakes. I learn the GOOD and the BAD. Of course, I would prefer not to experience the BAD but if it is what will make me a better person inside out, then there is ALWAYS a reason WHY I have to experience it.

nice thought there, about being thankful for mistakes that you've made. if not for those things, you may not have learned something from it. thanks for sharing that.

Hi! This in indeed an interesting topic for discussion. We all have our problems.'Life is neither a bed of roses nor a bush full of thorns'.There are many highs and lows in our lives.Despite all that I Thank the almighty for his kindness and for the life he has given me.There are umpteen number of things I would be thankful for but to list out just three is quite difficult,anyway.1.My family who stand by me,supporting me,loving me and caring for me.2.For the life I lead.3.For the good health I enjoy. When we count the many blessings that surround us, we are indeed thankful for all that God has given us."A THANKFUL PERSON IS A TRANQUIL PERSON"God Bless

People tend to take things for granted. They go out and search for expensive things, food, place, clothings to make them feel happy or content. But people forget that to be satisfied in life we need to appreciate what we already have, they are just right under our noses and we seem to be oblivious of them. I have so many things to be thankful for in my life and your question about my top three would be my beautiful and healthy daughter. She gives me so much love and I love her. The next one is the love of my husband. The third is health. There are some illnesses that have come up but I am still thankful that we are still blessed and have overcome them and others we are still trying to heal.

I'm thankful for my children and their unconditional love. I'm thankful for a job that I enjoy going to each day. I'm thankful for a loving God whom has taught me that with Him, all things are possible.

I am thankfull for many things. But first one would be my health, since I think it is so important for us. Feeling sick can take so much energy from you and you just fell like doing nothing. Another thing I am thankfull for is my family, who love me and I love them. And the third thing would be my friends, they are just like my family and it is great to have someone who you can trust and turn to them if you are happy or sad.

I am thankful for my relationship with my Creator, who has given me the promise of eternal life through His Son (and my Saviour) Jesus Christ. I am thankful for my family. My parents, who at all times have stood by me. My two daughters and my grandchildren. They have given me so much love and laughs over the years. I am thankful for my true friends. The ones that stand by you in both the good and bad times. Some times the bad times can show you who really cares. Who you can really trust. When there is someone there to help comfort and support me it helps me make it through the bad times.
