Should best guess science be sold as fact?

That's right, we don't actually know if there are 100 billion stars in our galaxy, or how much a brontosaurus weighed, but we are being given info, on a daily basis, that is not actually factual, and only based on a "best guess". Do we care or do we wamt the truth.

actually, it's not guess. it's based on complex calculations. take example of number of stars in our galaxy. scientist didnt just say "hmm... lets make 100 billion, that sounds alot". they actually uses scientific method to estimate (not guess) how many stars are there in this galaxy. there's a difference between estimation and guessing.

Most of it is theories or best guesses but a majority of sources do state all of this. It'd be nice to have the real facts though. I'm content with the theories and continued research for now, but facts would be great.
