value sons and belittle daughters?

what's your comment about the unfailing topic:do ALL people would value sons and belittle daughters? i catch many sweets today from one of my colleagues coz his wife just gave birth to a son days ago.i'm not sure whether he'd bring birth candy to us if they just have a daughter?

Is that so? Well, so far I don't know anyone who has such an unequal treatment of children basing on their gender. All couples and families I know value sons and daughters all the same. It's sad there are families that are like that.

thanks mizrak! i agree with you that it should be real sorrowful for such treatment! it must be left behind by their ancestor i think.anyway,my parents are the same so they have total 5 children in our big family!BUT fortunately,my parents treat us well and support ALL of us to school.they're toilsome in their whole life and still live in a small village and work.BUT,ALL of us are filial!i could not earn enough money to them for HAPPY LIFE but we will!quick coming! son/daughter is okay for me if i have a baby...sweet heart.

I can only speak for myself. My first born is a girl. She is wonderful. My husband loves her to the ends of the earth. And she is certainly daddy's little girl. He has said he would be no happier with a boy than his girl. And I believe him. I am aware that my husband is the exception. I am glad for it.

thanks ersmommy! please give my top regards to your happy family!you know,coco always esteems such parents!!i appreciate your honey's concept.in my opinion,just treat them right as long as you give them birth on the earth!if not so,that's an absolutely evil!i fairly believe daughters could be more considerate than sons.i mean,usually. have a nice day,ermommy!
