Ok, I feel as if I'm going out on a limb here, but does anyone else like Todd Manning? I know that Todd has done a lot of bad things, but in spite of that, I like him. I don't think he is ALL bad. He has done a lot of very bad things, but he has done a few good things too; i.e. he paid for the operation which gave Evangaline her sight back; recently, while showing Starr the webpage he had set up for the return of Tommy on the missing children site, he set up another page for Cole as well and offered a million dollar reward for Cole as well as Tommy, even though he isn't fond of Cole; but he did that anyway because he loves Starr. Those are just a couple examples of good things which Todd has done. There are a few more, but I think anyone who watches the show regularly already knows what Todd has or hasn't done, good or bad. It's just that I hear so many people tell about how they hate Todd and list all the bad things he has done, I wanted to bring to light and remind people that he has done some good things too. Also, reguardless of any bad things Todd may have done, he loves his kids and they adore him in return, especially Starr, which I feel should account for something. Lastly, I feel that Todd keeps the show interesting. So for these reasons, I like Todd Manning. Does anyone else like Todd?

He is one of the more complex characters I have seen on daytime. I seem to be stuck on the ABC shows which I have watched off and on for nearly 30 years. I like Todd. He is bad but the minute you think you have him figured out he does something unexpected.

That is true, Todd is very complex. That's another reason that I like him, his complexity makes him interesting I think. True that he often does the unexpected too, which makes him and the show more interesting.

I don't have a problem with him. He does bring a lot of excitment and energy to the show! Yeah, he has done some bad things, but there is some good in him to. I think he just can't find that happy medium. But he is an exciting character to the show - pretty boring without him! he is mellowing out at the moment and that is nice too. Interesting to see if they change the character or not. He has the good in him, he just gives it out sparingly but for the right reasons and good causes. I did miss him when he was gone while back - the island storyline. The character just brings twists and turns to the show. It is pretty boring at the moment.

I do think they are taking way to long with getting Todd his son back and this storyline needs to come to a close. Marcie is of course going to go to prison but probably get off for some mental thing she can get help for and do some community service. Then maybe she and Michael and Todd can come to some sort of shared parenting. Or not, she could find she is pregnant I think we the fans need to remind the writers we did not forget Als dream before Al became Michael that Michael and Marcie were going to have a girl child if they married. One of their own.

I do like this Todd actor better than that other one- forget his name. This one just portrays more personality in his acting.

Thanks for your response. I agree, he does bring a lot of excitement to the show and it would be boring without him.

I have not watched "One Life to Live" for years, and at that time, my favorite soaps were "Days of our Lives" and "Another Wor;d" and my favorite villain was Stephano on "Days of our Lives." I have not been following the character of Todd Manning for some time and I cannot comment on his life and who hates him or who does not. I must remain impartial but I do not know that just because you are an evil person, does not mean that your children have to hate you. I watched a series where there were two bad characters and one of them had a daughter who loved the man she considered her father.

I understand that being an evil person would not necessarily mean that your kids hated you. My reason for throwing that in there is because I believe from everything that I have seen, that even though Todd has done some bad things, he DOES love and care for his children, and there are a few people who argue that he doesn't. Thanks for your reply.

there are times i just cant stand Todd, but there are also times when he is awesome. You are right though he has some good in him. But what is bothering me is the whole Tommy thing going on, i think that he is in the right to want his son back but i also think that he should not be going to the extreme that he is right now with Marcy, yea she should not have ran like she did but i think i probably would have done the same thing.. I think that Todd should find his son but also let Marcy and Michael have there time with him well i guess it would be shared custody of him.. they are the ones that have been raising him.. I dont know that is just my opinion. now with this who Ramsy on Todds side i think there is going to be something bad happening if Ramsy finds her first, like he said he will bring her back with any means possible...i hope Marcy will be ok..

yeah, I know he offered and she didnt want nothing to do with it...But he could have insisted on it instead of acting like he did, but anyway,I watched the show on thursday 12/20 and Ramsy has now been suspended from the F.B.I. because of the whole thing with Marty dieing. Because of that he went to Todd and asked him if he could help him because Todd had fired all of his guys, now Ramsey said that he would find Marcy and bring his son back by any means possible.. So that to me means he may find her and kill her as well. This Ramsy guys is a bad cookie he was already responsible for two deaths of woman that John was involved with.. Is that a coinsodence or not??? so i think because Marcy is his sister in law it may happen again.. I hope not..

Actually Todd did offer to share custody at the court hearing where he was awarded custody, but Marcie wanted no part of it. Although, I agree that Todd should show a little more understanding. Ramsy is off the case concerning Todd's son....I haven't had a chance to catch the show the past week and a half, but last episode I did catch, Todd seemed to be starting to think that he was maybe to harsh on Marcie and seemed to be starting to ease up a little...I think it'd be great if they all ended up with shared custody.

He definitely keeps it interesting. Soaps lack humor, and he brings some to the show, so I do like him. The only thing that bugs me about him (and Blair) is how they are mean to Marty and Cole. I mean, what did They ever do to Him? He is the one who hurt Marty. In fact, years and years ago, Todd- the original guy (who, by the way, was so much better looking)- was in an accident and needed a blood transfusion, and Marty donated blood to save his life. So it annoys me that he hates her, he has no reason.

I think Blair hates Marty and I have no idea why. I don't think that Todd hates Marty, I think that seeing Marty reminds of him of what he did to her, which he regrets. I think that Todd hates himself for hurting Marty in the way that he did and that in turn makes him resentful. He doesn't want to see Marty because it reminds of something he did in his past and regrets and wants to forget, so he acts out against her because he wants to drive her away rather than be confronted with the memory and the guilt. That's my take on it anyway. Did that make sense?
