My sister-in-law has a morgan horse breeding farm with about 50 horses and 9 donkeys.
I have spent many hours there and know each and every horse personally..I can tell you every horse and donkey's attitudes, habits, what to watch out for etc.
She only has 3 black horses on the place..Amelia and her georgous daughters Cordilia and Lena but this AM our sweet elderly Miss Amelia went down dead in her stall. One minute standing then down and absolutely dead. What a nice way for the old gal to go...without a worry in her warm stall happily munching on her breakfast. I wish I knew I would go with such easy and a light heart!
She is now buried on the hill along with the other horses that have left for the upper pasture ...As I walked to place a flat stone on her grave I said a silent hello to Bonnie,Kathleen,Ole Jaz,Jublee Rythem,BonniBe,Radiant,Alisha,Lady Blackmore,George,Chuckie,Karol,Jazalee and Donks Nina,Buster,Peppi and dogs Honeysuckle,Pup,Rudy,Mimi,Jenni and 30+ years of cats, rabbits....They are all up there on the hilltop to welcome Amelia...I will miss her warm muzzle nuzzling my hand and face...but I'm not really sad because it was time and she had a life much better then most..
Good Bye my ole friend Amilia
Cheers

Sorry to hear you lost your Miss Amelia Raydene, but it sounds like she won't be lonely where she has gone! You have sure had a lot of horses my friend! It's good that you are not too sad though, because you know that she had a good life while she was here. Rest in Peace Miss Amelia.

Rest in peace...not Amelia..she is most likely galloping through the kingdom ...running like the wind with a daring little cherub sitting a golden saddle and bridle..She was a hot little gal..she loved nothing more then to carry someone at a breakneck speed...She loved to go...

You and me are so much alike, I reckon we were separated at birth, we love our animals as much or sometimes more so than humans! To us they are part of the family, reliable, trustworthy, loyal, loving and warm, and they become so close to us, they want so little in return and give us so much joy and companionship, I am truly sorry for your loss xxx

It is good to know she had a nice happy life. I know there is a "Rainbow Ridge" for our pets so perhaps there is is "Rainbow Pasture" for our loved large animals. If so I am sure she has gone there.
