I just got off the phone with my mother. She told me that she is sending each of my children $20 for Christmas! My mother has NEVER EVER EVER bought my kids ANYTHING for ANYTHING. No Christmas, no birthdays, no nothing, EVER. I just can't believe it! I'm seriously in shock! Maybe I was just dreaming...but I don't think so. I guess when I get it in the mailbox I'll know. lol
That is just amazing! WOW! I don't know what else to say.
Anything spectacular happen to you lately? Please feel free to share!

Well that's pretty neat. Its good to hear the kids grandmother is actually getting something for your children. I'll have to believe all of your shock and amaze at the situation. Of course Stephanie, you may have woken up in a different reality, a parallel universe... this isn't...really your world...
Kidding =D
Have a wonderful Holiday Season.

I think this "change" has happened because she has stopped drinking after 30 years! I'm so excited and proud of her. I really hope she never drinks again! I'm so happy for the kids and this is the best Christmas present I could ever get. Happy Holidays :-)
PS. I hope if something spectacular happens to you that it's only something good :-)

How very happy I am for you, how very happy I am for her, and most of all how very happy I am for your children. It's sort of sad that she felt the need to call you to tell you she is doing this; but it seems as though she is trying to make a "first step". If this is the case, maybe you would have all of the children make her a thank you card with hand prints, lots of glitter, or whatever their hearts go wild with when they get a chance to go out and spend their "special Grandma money gift". ~donna
ps - no heart attack, that would totally ruin everything!

I'm definitely going to have them make her a thank you card! I just can't believe it. She also has quit drinking and I'm just so excited about that. I really hope she don't ever drink again. Wow, this is like the best Christmas present EVER! Happy Holidays.

I am very happy for you! It's strange I am sure, but don't question it. Maybe it's a change for the better. We can only hope!

Thats good that shes going to give them something for christmas for a change. Maybe your mom feels bad for all the times she missed giving your children gifts? How many kids do you have? Nothing spectacular has really happenned to me lately.
