The one photo agency I sometimes upload my images with is Photographers Direct...so far I haven't had a "nibble" with requested images. Tonight in my email I got this "alert" for water scenics, like oceans, etc. Well I do happen to have some when I went to Miami years ago of the ocean...they are on slides, so I have to scan to digitize, so I'm going to be busy doing that on Friday...but just look at HOW MUCH they are offering for a photo! Yup--$8,000! And Yes this IS legitimate!
I'm going for it...oh, oh, oh....wouldn't it be fantastic if they picked on of my images!!! Here is the email alert notification for it

Dear Pyewacket,
Man! This is the 3rd discussion I've come across today that is an example of what I'm wanting for myself!
I've gotten so caught up in the aspects of my situation that I don't like that it is acting like a trap. I believe that what you have your attention on you get more of, so one of the things I've been trying to put my attention on is more money flowing to me. I couldn't even imagine any ways for something like that to happen, and here you come along illustrating it for me! You never know what unexpected opportunity lies around the corner!
Of course I wish you luck, although luck doesn't have as much to do with it I think as belief in yourself. You certainly have the talent! I just finished looking at the rest of the photos on your website. What an eye you have for composition and color - and the expertise to capture it on film!
I hope you'll post the photos to your website that you're submitting so that we can all see them too.
I'm very excited for you! And astrologically speaking the 7th and 8th are two of the best days for this month, so I'd say it was pretty good timing! There is an emphasis on patience and discipline being the keys to success during this time.
Hehehe. That reminds me of a story. When I first split up with my boyfriend I left Florida and came up here and my boyfriend went back to California.
I planned my trip according to the calculations of my then favorite astrologer... when I heard her saying that a certain 3 or 4 day pocket was the best time to take a long distance trip, especially if it had to do with a family member" (I was coming here to stay with my mother), I decided to leave Florida during that time, and planned my trip accordingly.
The entire journey was smoooooooth, and I ended up buying a house here... with no money and no job!!! It was amazing to watch.
Well, about a year passed, and since my boyfriend and I were in the habit of breaking up and getting back together, time and distance didn't seem to matter and eventually we were making plans for him to leave California and come and join me here in my own house in the mountains.
He was getting his affairs in order and planning to take a train out here. In the meantime I found a pocket of about 5 days that my astrologer had said "if you are planning a long distance trip, especially if it has to do with reuniting with a loved one this is the time to do it"!!!! I could hardly believe my eyes! I told my boyfriend.
Well, he pooh-poohed the idea, and ditzed around and missed that pocket of time. He missed the next best pocket too, and finally left California on the very day that was "do NOT even think about traveling on this day".
It never gelled. We fought constantly, he ended up shoveling sh!t for a living, and then lost his middle finger to a table saw before he went back to Calif.
Now, who knows if it would have happened like that anyway, with or without planets propitiously lined up, but I say it never hurts to have heavenly bodies working in your favor!!!
I hope this long post hasn't kept you from your patient and disciplined efforts today!

Hehehe--I'll say I needed patience and discipline today. I had scanned my slide photos at 300ppi which is fairly large enough, tweaked them a bit at photoshop but then when I uploaded them, I get a thing saying the image was too small and had to be at least 500pixels at the longest length...so had to rescan at 600ppi,but then the pixel length was too large so then to reduce the size now, had to save for web at 72ppi and reduced the pixel down to 500 pixels..yeesh --was tearing my hair out.
Wow...that was something about the astrology thing with you and your boyfriend..mmm...maybe there really IS something to paying attention to the stars..LOL
Tomorrow is the new moon too..they say to bring positives into your life to do it at the new moon to full moon phase..hehe

Yup I submitted them last night...they still have to be "rated"..checked tonight and they still haven't
The idea was that they wanted a scene with a lot of water, like an ocean, so that is exactly what I gave them...so here's one--maybe not the most exciting type of photo, but like I said, gave them what they wanted

It's beautiful! The blues are fantastic! Yeah, they said 'water and sky'... that is definitely perfect water and sky!! Don't you hate waiting? Hehehe. My son once said to me when he was about 3 or 4, and excitedly waiting for christmas, "Boy I wish somebody would hit me in the head and knock me out so I could wake up and have christmas be here!"

Just think, you could buy a couple acres and then start your own little pine tree farm, lol!...how great would that be!, lol!
AND, just thought of something, you could take beautiful pictures of them all with snow dripping down their branches and the moonlight making them all glisten, and sell those, haha....oh, how I dream for people, haha.

I will chime in and send you bunches of luck. I am so pleased that you are following up on things that you are trying. I do not do that as much as I should. I said a little prayer, and am thinging good thoughts, I cannot type with crossed fingers, though. It would be so awesome to say that I know someone that succeeded in this way. It would encourage me to get something done as well.
