Today when we have Internet and things going so fast I believe many of us do sent Christmas cards through Internet. Many of us use it Free, and send to friends and family. But I wonder, there are still people who not have computer. We still have to send ordinary mail through the postman. Do you still use the Ordinary postman to post your Christmas cards?

the internet has revolutionized the way we do everything in this world. sending a postcard through the mail is now considered as 'old school' by some people. i normally send them through the internet. it's cheaper easier and faster.

Yep keminem001. You are so right. However, I do have to send some of the cards, or mails through the postman, they do not have Internet or computers. But otherĀ“s will get their Christmas greetings through Iternet.
Thank you for responding, Have a great Friday

greaten, that is good, In Sweden they have closed many post office down and moved this service to the grosser store. Which means that if only go for shopping you can be standing in line for a long time since many have to pick large mails from the store. I do not like it a bit. However, that is the future, and the Internet.
Thank you for responding, and have a great Friday

Though I have been remiss in keeping up with cards, I still prefer to send cards through the mail. Not only at Christmas but birthday, anniversary, etc. I just feel that it says so much more if you actually take the time to do this rather than send an email. Of course then some people are cheap and dont want to spend the money.

I think it will be a very sad day when email and the internet replace actual, physical, handwritten cards and letters. Sure, it is nice to have the speed that the internet allows for communication on a day to day basis, but there is something to be said for 'ordinary.' I will never replace real cards with ecards.

I make my own cards and send them. They all have a photo of the family and a letter re-capping the past year. Plus a little personal message on the card. I like doing it becuase it shows that you really care. Yeah the e-cards are free, and faster but it really doesn't relay the message that you truely care.

Hello froggylovesu, excuse me for asking, but you might not be a member of Marketing Pond?....I am to. However, thank you for responding, and have great Friday. Well, do not send many cards, I do have a list I use every year, and I will send Cards to those who sent to me, and if someone did not sent me a card I do not resend. As you say the postage stamps are not for free.....

yes I think it is much better to have a real card then an electronic ecard.... at least you can display them... I like to keep some of my cards too for sentimental reasons..... I also make some of my cards specialy to my family.... I really enjoy the post at christmas because you get mail other than bills - something to look forward too....

I still send out christmas card through snail mail. Not all my relatives have computers or use them regularly so an ecard would not do as well. Besides unless you print it out and ink cartridges cost money for all the ecards on receives, you cannot hang an ecard in your living room or save them or make decorations by cutting out the scenes for next years Christmas decorations.

I still send Christmas Cards through snailmail, even to my friends who are on the internet. Although, much of my family is older and do not have or even if they have the internet they don't use it regular enough. I still love receiving Christmas cards too. I enjoy hanging them by the doorway and looking at the beautiful pictures.

I am glad to hear that some at least send some cards through the postman...*smile*. In Sweden many post office have moved from their own post office in to the stores. So if I now need to get a packet or a large mail, I need to go to the grosser store.
Thank you for responding and have a great friday.

Yes i still send christmas cards the ordinary way.I think it's the most special way to send something to someone.Via e-mail or internet it's less personal.Just like a written letter i think it's more personal than a typed letter.
A world without postmen would be no world.

I always still send christmas cards through snail mail. Christmas is still about family and friends and sending a card through normal mail is a lot more personal and thoughtfull. :-)

I don't send normal Christmas cards, but then I never have. This year we are mailing out a lot of Christmas gifts though. We are sending gifts to my brothers and their families as well as our grandparents and my aunt. Of course the gifts for the grandparents and my aunt consist of something small and then baby pictures! None of them have baby pictures and our son is 16 months...so...

I do. although I must admit I send every year less postcards. I think that the tree is one of the most important parts of Xmas and I put the cards under it. Unfortunately, people today don't send cards any more, some of them start sending e-cards and some of them just stopped and I never send postcards from people who haven't sent it to me for 2 or 3 years in a role. It's not that I am vindictive but I feel stupid sending something to someone who obviously doesn't care for it because if he/she cared for it he/she would send something back.

I send some people cards over the internet. But I still make out a Christmas card list for friends and family every year. Buy some cards. Sit down and sign each one. Go to the post office and mail them. To me it just seems more personal. Last year I wrote a Christmas story that I included in all my cards. My parents and aunt and uncle do not even have internet access. If I'm going to make out cards for them, it seems only right to send cards to everyone.

I certainly do still send them through the postal service. There are just some traditions that I will stick with and mailing christmas cards is one. It is such a good feeling to open my mail box and find christmas cards in it. I open them with such joy and then I hang them on the wall for everyone to see and enjoy. It just isn't the same to get a christmas e-mail. Nothing will replace the old fashion christmas card.

no.i'm sending christmas cards through internet.nowadays most of the people are using internet for various purposes like e-mail,searching things, chatting, banking, shopping and reservation booking etc.sending christmas cards through postman is not at al bad because, those people who cannot use internet are sending cards and letters through postman.in my point of view,it is an old custom and tradition for us and not bad.
