Just something silly I'd post with my discussion set for today. I don't know about you, but I'm not giving up the computer. Sorry, ain't happening. I'll be glad to see technology and energy get better, but nope, not giving it up.

i agree with you.now,it is winter,i must put on enough clothes that make me as silly as a pig.i whould rather it is wormer.
thus,i play PC as much as i can everyday!

Talking seriously, you are absolutely correct. Plus this is just like most of the other global warming issues. The common person has to sacrifice, but the priveledged and other "uppers" do not.
Now, for a joking response.
Someone pull the plug on skynet/internet!! It'll cause global warming if it remains on!

Reciently I have heard that we need to eat less red meat (but not kill the cows) to prevent global warming, don't get a divorce (unless you have a friend that you can live with) because you will be increasing you combined carbon footprint. I also heard that the jewish people should lite one less candle for Hannaca. If we stiop using computer and do all the other little things they suggest we may save a few thousand pounds of polution going into the air. Now if we can find a way to stop a valcano from senting several million tons of polluants into the air each tiem one erupts we will be making great progress. Lets be realistic about this and realize that the climate is in constant change and we have no control over it.

Heh heh! I'm just waiting for the hysterical folks in this debate to come out and start calling for the things you suggested. Oh and I'm sure the earth and its 5,000 trillion tons of atomsphere will thank us for eliminating a few thousand pounds of CO2 (which the sea algae uses to produce most of the oxygen on the planet...but anyways...)

What a dumb article. I can't believe their blaming laptops for the global warming and tell us "do us a favor and turn off your pc" come on there is so much more bigger things in this world that cause my global warming then our pcs. We all use our pcs for different reasons. I am not ever going to stop using my laptop because someone has a dumb reason like that article. The world will end eventually, don't worry about trying to stop global warming. The bible talks about a better future then this horrible, polluted world now.

am with you not gonna stop useing my puter and matter of fact it warms up my puter room in the winter time lol also summer butthen I can leave the room in the hot part of the day.
and come tothink of it I used to use paper and pen but the took trees so we are in a losing battle on this one For we love to get in here an dpost so there is no stopping us
