No never, atleast not until now. First of all as your data is saved on the hard drive there is no need to be worried about when any kind of crash down occurs in your motherboard. Mostly they occur due to fluctuation in the supply. But they cause sever damage when the voltage fluctuation is really high.

Yes-man previously I had one Asus motherboard and there was a problem in the earthing of my electric board. So a continuous supply of electricity was passing to my motherboard and it crashed wise. I thought it was the problem of the motherboard and I got it exchanged with an Intel and all such is the processor as the it was pretty much outdated but still gain eight Christ and then I realised that it is not the fault of the motherboard but it was actually the electric point which was giving the problem. Then I brought a person who can fix the problem and after that let me tell you there was no such problem of crashing of motherboards.

My computer crashed one time. I had to re-load everything back on there. Dell told me that they could save stuff if I needed them to but there wasn't really anything on there that I couldn't put back on there if I needed or wanted to. I'm glad you got your computer fixed and that you are back again.

Glad you are back. As for motherboard crashes I haven't had them but a friend did. It turned his mac into a paperweight. Just be careful with computer and parts purchases. Check out the computer and what you are getting, reviews can help you make the right purchases and see what's going on with products.

We took our computer to an expert who has been in the computer for nearly twenty years and knows what he is doing...He gave us great advice also and his fee was very reasonable!

Yes! My old motherboard crashed. It keeps on rebooting. It could no longer load Windows. When I checked the components on the motherboard the capacitors are leaky.
