Okay, I realise that a majority of myLot users are not Australian/in the Southern Hem. so it's not nighttime right now, but:
What are you having, or did you have for dinner tonight?
Who cooked?
I think I'm going to have a tuna cake and salad roll.
I have to admit that they're Bird's Eye frozen tuna cakes, but they are terrific.
If I don't go for that, I might make myself a homemade pizza on Lebanese bread.
How about you?
=)

Hi Mal,
Well it's not Sunday anymore, it's Tuesday, but I'm going to first bake a whole chicken, then once it get's all nice and crispy on the outside, I'm going to smother in in BBQ sauce and broil it for a few minutes, then eat it up! lol Probably do some home made mashed potatos and a ceasar salad.
For some reason I'm really in the mood to cook! haha Usually I'm not, hate cooking but love to eat!

LOL! That's such a predicament - the hating cooking but loving eating thing.
I guess that's the driving force behind learning to love (or at least tolerate) cooking =P
For a self confessed "non cooker" of sorts, that sounds damn f'n good if you don't mind me saying =P
The boy's coming over for dinner tonight before we go out to the movies with some friends.
I think I'll make some kind of chicken pasta... although I could do with some red meat, and I do love a good steak =P
We'll see, I have all day to think about it.
=D

Yes hating too cook but loving to eat is a compromise! lol Hubby does a lot of cooking and he is really much better at it than I am. He doesn't think so but I do!
I like steaks too, I love steaks actually. What was I saying??? lol I would eat steak everyday if I could, like for supper or something. I'm a meat and potatos kind of gal. haha Hubby makes a great romaine salad with chopped up chicken, if we have leftovers, wether it be fried or whatever and it's delish!
That salad your talking about sounds really good. So much talk about food around myLot last few days! Makes me hungry. Haha

Well yesterday it was a "fend for yourself" night because the weekend was so busy for me...and there was leftover homemade soup...Tonight I'm making Paprika Beef Stew which I should actually get started fairly shortly (in an hour or so)...

Oooh, how was the stew. It sounds yum. Like very.
I never get enough red meat, I should really do something about that =P
Fend-for-yourself nights are probably the best.
I remember when I was younger it was the only night when my sister and I would get to have something so lacking in nutritional value =P
Good fun.

Hi there, I have actually never heard of something called a tuna cake. Could you tell me what it is? We don't have it around here. But I am thinking of making lasagna this evening. I am a very big fan of lasagna. Actually I just love all kinds of food haha

=) I love lasagne too! (But I have to agree with you; all food is awesome) =P
Okay, tuna cakes are a mixture of tuna, potato herbs and peas/carrot/corn (anything you choose) that are then rolled, crumbed and fried or baked.
=)
I hope that clears that up for you, and thanks for asking

Hi Neethucool.
When I make homemade pizza, I normally just buy some lebanese bread, or lavish.
Preheat the oven to a med-high temperature (180-200 degrees Celsius)
I put on whatever sauces I choose (normall barbecue, chilli and pesto/guacamole), followed by a small amount of grated cheese, and toppings of my choice (some kind of meat, olives, mushrooms, tomato etc) followed by another layer of cheese on top.
Then I pop it in the oven for about 10-15 minutes, before turning and cooking for a further 5-10 minutes, and then removing to cool before serving.
=)
There are probably a large number of pizza recipes on the internet if you need any further details.
I hope this was helpful, and have a wonderful Christmas!

Well since it is currently 2:38 am on this side of the planet in Ohio, United States, I will say I had earlier for dinner the greatest piece of convetion-ovened chicken, with steamed asparagus and fried potatoes !!!
Yummy, and tomorrow were all having whatevers left-over from Thursday on . . . not much I am afraid but we'll manage.

Your dinner sounds SO yum!

lol.
Thanks for your response, Erica the Great!
