Well here's monkey ready to rumble !! That is one of the reasons I left this place for so long. I got so sick of not being able to just have an opinion without getting jumped on for it. I see you haven't had the "stepford" implant yet either...

Ok, this really crawls under my skin that anyone would attack you Gabs. You are the sweetest, kindest person I have met in a long time, and frankly I value your opinion. I will admit that just recently I lost my temper with a person here on myLot but I corrected myself, I was in a bad mood and took aim on this person but once I realized what I had done I admitted it to the person in their discussion for everyone to see because that was the right thing to do. Anyone attacking on myLot needs to be very sure they are doing it for the right reasons and they really have no reason to ever attack you because you never give anyone a reason to attack.

Well - post about it in the S&M forum, so that those of us active there & here can jump on that person. We've managed to get through a lot of that stuff over the past year. We'll get through this one, too.

It's too bad that everyone can't act like adults here. People will always have differing opinions. We should be grown up enough to respect that fact and if you disagree so be it. Variety is what makes the world go around. Happy holidays to you and your family!

I have always thought that myLot is a free forum--free in the sense that anybody can post their opinions freely. I had responded to a previous discussion that I think myLot is a United Nations of sorts, where anybody, anywhere, can voice an opinion on whatever they want. The rules of civility cannot be strictly enforced in real life, and so I guess it is the same for myLot, as it is with the UN, LOL! Having said that, you and Gissi brighten up my day and nothing anybody says about you can change your sweet and caring nature and what I feel about you---and the Elf's adorableness level can't be touched! I would just ignore the hurtful remark, gabs. Don't give importance to people who are narrow-minded enough to lob anyone a personal attack due to a dissenting opinion. What does "being educated" really mean anyway? It is not only book learning--some of the worst boors I know have PhDs! But thank goodness there aren't very many of them (boorish PhD friends, I mean). A truly educated person is polite, civil, restrained, kind, and willing to take up the slack for others who are not as well informed in their area of expertise. Surely no one is a complete and total walking encyclopedia for any and all topics, so no one has the right to label other people for a perceived lack of knowledge in a certain area. It never ceases to amaze me that people can take offence so easily. There must be countless people who would disagree with me on every possible subject, and like most members here I would respect their right to disagree and even welcome their comments if they added to the discussion. Why can some people simply never learn to accept that others will have different opinions? You are certainly not the kind of person to be offensive, so I cannot imagine that you deserved the attack. This type of problem keeps cropping up now and then and does nothing to improve the community here.

This is gross! I cannot accept this, how can we be at the whims of a few users here. I think mylot should do something about the indiscriminate usage of rating system. There should be some kind of screening somewhere.

Oh I know that feeling...I have learned that no matter what their age is there are a few who do get mad when you do not agree with what they say. Thank God I learned my lesson a while back. So now if I do not agree I just don't post a reply. That way I don't have to worry about it. This would be one sad world if we were all alike. I see no reason to get all bent out of shape when someone thinks different about something. I like it when someone has a different opinion and tells me why.

I know how you feel gabs. You stick up for a friend, and get attacked for it. It seems we should all agree with each other on here! No-one is allowed to have a different point of view. MyLot needs to sort out this problem - fast.

Some people just can't debate their point effectively maybe because of their lack of knowledge on the subject so they have to resort to name calling. It just seals the fact to me that they are not as intelligent as they think they are on a subject. My lot is hear for opinions and views and other attitudes toward them but name calling is just dumb- period... If we all agreed my lot would be really boring! I haven't realy come across that on here personally but I have had heated discussions about religion and politics which would pretty much always rock a boat here and there and we may not agree with each other on some things but then you log into my lot and that same person who you didn't agree with that day has started another interesting discussion where maybe views are closer. I would just ignore them and report them I guess to see if they will do anything. Bullying just enhances their stupidity and honestly you should just laugh! :)

it happened to me also like that. So what I did is like what you did also. She doesn't know how to say it in a right way. No doubt bout it there just some other people who think of themselves highly. And besides if that is your own opinion you're entitled to it. Maybe the one you have encountered in here is just the type ..that she wants the people that sorrounds on her do always go and agree with her.

my friend experienced the same but not a couple of days, about a week I think or even more. She couldn't log in to mylot , she didn't say anything about other sites. then she used her friend's pc to log in to mylot. My lot never answered to my email and hers, but finally now she could use her pc again. I'd like to think it's a glitch but I can't tell since my friend is kind of vocal she may have experienced what your friend is going through

hmmmmmmmmmm she musta done something very bad then I think its ok to voice opinions it would be pretty boring if we all agreed on everything I got kicked out of Yahoo Answers 4 times in the past 2 years, no clue even why so far mylot has not booted me at all

Hi gabs:) I thought that's what mylot is for. To voice our opinions. Not everyone will agree that's what an opinion is. I'm sorry that has happened to you, keep voicing your opinion...some of us want to hear what you have to say.:) I hope your friend and the others will be able to log on soon. I hope it is a glitch.

Who attacked you...no don't name names here you can email me personally, and I think I know the other person who can't log in here that you are talking about as she has mentioned it to me and is getting really depressed about it. I'm hoping she hasn't been banned just because someone may have taken offense in something she said. This person is a sweetheart to me and my cybersister if it is the same one I'm thinking about...that cute little snoozing puppy?? Her discussions are very innocent, not offensive at all are they? So like why can't she get in?

myLot won't respond back. I've sent in several questions and I guess they can't find the time to bother. Very crappy customer service. People are going to differ in opinions. It's part of life. If you were verbally attacked, I'd report that poster to myLot for offensive material. They may or may not pull the post.

Well I don't think we should take back our opinion even it will against someone, but we should let it out in a correct way .As for having made an enemy ,I think it's not so bad as you think, maybe he will realize it's just a different vioce,nothing serious.:) Wish your friend can log in as soon as possible!
