Hi y'all, I am sorry again for my delays when answering all your nice responses to my sporadic discussions, and for not being active lately.
Well, when I returned I have found this new kind of rating system, do you like it? I don't know if this will really work helping us with the topics we best know and paying us for them, or if it will just be some kind of silly competition like the stars system...
Anyways, I could not resist to look my rankings in my preferred topics, such as religion, and guess what I have found! I am the 13! :S
If I was the 13 in another topic I would not bother... but in religion! in many religions the 13 has a deep meaning, usually of bad chance... some say in occidental culture this is because there were 13 guests in Christs's Last Supper (the 12 apostles and him). Well, this can be an explanation, but some say in this reunion were other people, such as Mary Magdalene... So there must be other explanations, because this belief is more extended than this explanation, I guess in other cultures from the world too. What about your culture? does the number 13 means something (good or wrong) for you?
Other explantions compare this number to other significative numbers, such as the 3 (the trinity, the eternity, the force) and the addition of 7 (good, divine power) and 6 (hell, the one who wants to be 7). Does this other explanations mean something for you?

I think the new rating system is interesting. It does give you an idea what people are more known for talking about, as opposed to just whether they are liked in general or not.
I don't know what 13 would mean! I know some religions or religious people see it as a bad thing, but I've never really felt any negative attachments to it myself. In fact, I kind of like that number, possibly just because I like to be different. :P

All I know is the higher rankings the better, if you read what it saids about the interest rankings, that is the last thing the discussion says. There Higher the Better, so what does you think that mean? The heghest I seen was 17?

alright, regarding your question about the number 13 hmm.. well I can't recall anything expect for superstition but your biblical numerics sound accurate to me. About the new rating system-I haven't gave it another thought really.

I beleive this rating system as an entirely supportive approach in judging ourselves in different directions, proceeding towards your second question ,i do not beleive in fath set by numbers ,fate in my sense is the last option a person beleives. If succeed it is never fates role or fates part in your success you always thank your experience or your ard work but if you loose ,then its because of fate you lost.I question what kind of explaination is this?

I think this is rather an indeterminist explanation, right? I mean, determinism is the philosophical theory wich claims everything depends on a destiny (God's destiny, fate's destiny, physical laws' destiny...) and indeterminism is the theory which claims that, since we are free to decide, there is no destiny or fate at all. For myself, I believe in a complexe combination of the two... I think I will made a new discussion for that. Of course, I believe in freedom, but I hate some extreme anti-destiny theories which claims that coincidences are not messages but just our mind illusion - at least, it is not poetical at all lol. Well, I guess you will like my next discussion then!

I am still trying to get my head around this new interest scoring, is the higher rating better or is the lowing rating better? How does the scale work? For me 8 is a lucky number so I would like to see 8 on my interests. Not sure if I am keen on the new system, but hey it's only new and once we get used to it, we'll accept it and wait in bated breath for the next change! and please please lets have an edit button on here!
