Hi, just wanted to share with you my favorite holiday brew. I call the drink 'Drunken Sailor'... Simmer I quart orange juice (I always end up using the frozen concentrate, but use whatever you prefer) with about 10 whole cloves, 2 cinnamon sticks, and about 15 whole cardamom pods for about 20 minutes. I like to let it sit for about half an hour, then I reheat to serve. Spike with Sailor Jerry's spiced rum (or rum of your choice) and drink til all drunken up!

It is not too heavy and the addition of ginger ale gives it a kick! You can make it several days in advance and wait until the last minute to add ginger ale. I also freeze a ginger ale ice ring and add it to the punch bowl to help keep the punch cold. Add cinnamon swizzle sticks to your glasses for pretty presentation." That sounds yummy. I love wassail at this time of year...made with apple cider, orange juice, cranberry juice, cinnamon sticks, and cloves. I also like rum-spiked eggnog (soy).
