When you are traveling do you take snacks or soft drinks with you? If I am traveling by car I usually take at least a 12 pack of my favorite soft drink and probably even some bottled water. It is a lot less expensive than paying the prices at the hotel vending machines. Even if I am traveling by plane, I will take some salty snacks along. I get hungry about every 2 hours so a slim jim or piece of jerky in my pocket will usually tied me over for the ride. What about you, do you bring along your own soft drinks and snacks?

Yes, I bring my own food and drinks. Probably more than I should. Hehe! LOL! Seriously, I find that I usually save more time and money if I bring my own.

I usssualy take water with me and nuts. I really like to have hot meal everyday and also I like to spend time at little restorants along the way - specially if it is different country.

Yes we pack up beverages for the whole family, a case of pop for my husband, a case of diet pop for me, a couple of boxes of juice boxes for the kids. Also some bottled water as well. That way we don't have to buy drinks on the road, and we don' have to buy drinks at the hotel, we only have to buy drinks if we are eating at a restaurant. It is also nice to have bottled water if you will be walking around a lot in hot weather, and expensive to buy it where every you are so we bring our own.

When travelling i do take along soft drinks, juices and snacks. I also add some sweets for my children. I normally take a litre bottle of soft drink and its good enough for the four of us. Its more of my children who would need some refreshment now and then so i keep their tastes in mind while taking eatables.

I usually only bring water. If I'm driving I always have coffee too, it's essential...one of my biggest vices...besides smoking, of course.

Yeah, i am the same like you. I would take at least some chips and some candy bar with me, when i am traveling in the car and of course some water. I am hungry every 4 hours and I get really crazy when i am hungry for too long, so i better carry something. I don't cary anything in the plane, since all those security i am just worried they will tell me something like i cannot have it with me, so i am just hoping they will give me something on the plane.

i keep drinks & snacks in my car on a full-time basis, even if we are not going very far...you never know where you might get stuck at for a long time...in the winter it is harder though because sometimes they freeze ;)

While I am travelling I always take some eatables snacks with me...!!
Specially chocolate it helps a lot when you are hungry while travelling!!
I like lots of chips and nachos too...!!
But I never take any soft drinks with me except water..!
coz as I am a girl ..having too much fluids while travellig causes a lot of problem... no toilets available..!! So what to do when nature calls??? :P
So do drinks while travelling has a BIG No..

Before a holiday overseas or a trip to a foreign country I go shopping to buy suitable snacks. I like to eat fruit bars, nut and seed bars and coconut bars. I sometimes eat packets of nuts, seeds and dried fruit. Rice cakes and small potsd of jam are something quite filling that I bring along. I like to have a few cartons of fruit juice and Soya milk. I have have tiny packets of corn flakes that make a rather nice breakfast.
Airline security has changed. When I flew to Portugal liquids to be taken through security were restricted. Only water bottles of 100 ml were allowed to be carried. So this meant I had to drink all the water in my hand luggage before going through security. I bought expensive water in one of the shops before I got on the plane. I had to be careful which snacks I had in my hand luggage. When I arrived in Portugal I happily opened my large backpack that has been check in luggage and got out one large bottle of water.

I was wondering if I would see you on this post, my traveling friend. That brings up some good advice we can all use as far as what we can bring on planes and over borders. Good idea to check. Thanks for posting and I hope to see you around. Have a great day!

This can be true. Sometimes it's nice just to grab the pack of soda and throw it in the trunk. If the weather is just right, you can just grab a can and drink it right out of the trunk without even packing a cooler. Thanks for your response. I hope you have great day!

When traveling in a car, I have a cooler with sandwhiches that have ham and cheese and I have lettuce and tomatoes in little separate baggies and i put some of that on my sandwhich/sub and I have my mayonnaise on a little container. I have two medium size bags of cheese doodles and some ruffles. And I also have a pack of water bottles, I don't care too much for soda. If I'm on a plane I have like 1 medium size bag of chips for the ride, cause I know I'm going to be bored, and I have a couple of water bottles in my purse.
